As A Believe Remember This, When You Die In This Mortal World, Your Immortal Soul Is Separated From Your Body And Taken To The Room Jesus Prepared Just For You!
1 Timothy 2:5-6 (NIV)
For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time.
You may have heard it said that Jesus was sent into this cursed world when the time was right! It always seemed to me that Jesus should have come here a long time before He did! What do you think about God’s timing for sending Jesus into this world to offer salvation to all of mankind? We are now celebrating the wonderful completion of Jesus being the perfect sacrifice needed to replace the animal and grain sacrifices for the forgiveness of sins. Have you accepted this perfect sacrifice so your sins are forgiven and forgotten, and thus, your immortal soul will end up in Heaven when you die and leave this cursed world.
As Paul told Timothy in the selected verse, there is only ONE salvation plan offered to mankind from the ONE God, and it was to send His only Son into this world as a human baby, which of course we celebrate at Christmas time. And now during this season of Lent, we are celebrating the completion of Jesus’ sinless life, so He became the perfect sacrifice needed by God to allow the forgiveness of the sins of mankind. As Paul told Timothy, “For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people.”
Caiaphas the high priest was talking about the treat that Jesus posed to the Jews, who were at that time considered to be God’s chosen people. He did not say this on his own, but as high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the Jewish nation, and not only for that nation but also for the scattered children of God, to bring them together and make them one. So from that day on they plotted to take his life. (John 11:51-53). Here the term scattered children of God would have been referred to us Gentiles. Thus, Jesus was going to offer salvation also to the Gentiles, and the Jews could not believe this was their God’s will. However, they did not perceive that Jesus’ death would bring this about. They thought that God was sending the Messiah to lead the Jewish people against the Romans on this earth.
God’s salvation plan was for the Messiah was that He would become the perfect sacrifice, which would eliminate the need for animal and grain sacrifices forever. The Jewish leaders could not believe or understand this complete replacement of the sacrificial system God had given them for their salvation. God did tell them through Isaiah, but they could understand this change at this time in their history. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:5-6). Jesus was sent into this world to allow all people to become The Children of God, no longer just the Jews!
Jesus was that perfect sacrifice required by God to open the doors of salvation to all members of mankind. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21). Since Jesus fulfilled this requirement to live as a man and to never commit a sin allowed Him to take on the sins of this world and be the perfect sacrifice. This plan was then fulfilled by Jesus’ death and resurrection to supply the new salvation plan for all human beings who would believe in Him and become His followers!
When Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead as the first born of the living and the dead, the salvation plan was originated and will last forever in this cursed world. When Jesus ascended into heaven He left the Holy Spirit of God behind to guide Jesus’ followers on this earth. Paul wrote about this plan. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God. (Romans 8:6-8).
All humans are born into this world with a sinful nature inherited from Adam’s sin, and only followers of Jesus Christ are shielded from the control of their sinful nature, as “the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace!” It is true that even followers of Jesus Christ still have a sinful nature, but we are shielded from sinful thoughts and actions, if we allow the Holy Spirit to give us guidance.
Every human being is born into this cursed world with a sinful nature, but we are also all blessed by God with an immortal soul and allows us to be able to converse with God/Jesus through prayer. If we go back and read about how and when God created Adam, we can hear about when God installed that first immortal soul. The LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. (Genesis 2:7). The essence of all human life is when God breathes “the breath of life,” into each human baby at conception! Only human beings have this immortal piece that will never die, animals and plants were created by God but do not have this immortal piece!
Paul wrote about our mortal body as being a place where all saved human beings are somewhat out of place in our mortal bodies. Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. We live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. (2 Corinthians 5:6-8). Since our immortal soul is trapped in our mortal bodies there is some unrest as our sinful nature and our immortal soul should not both be contained for a mortal lifetime. As a believe remember this, when you die in this mortal world, your immortal soul is separated from your body and taken to the room Jesus prepared just for you!
Be careful what you believe when a human theologian “tells you this is what God said,” and then they “tell you this is what God meant!” It has been reported that our Bible says, “There is no God!” Yesterday was “April Fool’s Day,” not today, so I am not trying to fool you here! Of course we can pull selected words from any book, even from God’s Word and quote it as what God/Jesus may have said, but without the proper context it can be very deceiving. Be careful what you believe, be like the Bereans who listened intently to Paul’s teaching and went to their Bible to verify what he was teaching.
The theologian mentioned here may have taken the words “There is no God.” From Psalm 14, The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. (Psalm 14:1). Notice how the Psalmist refers to as the writer of this line in Psalm 14. Do not be foolish and believe everything you hear even from a theologian. All theologians are human beings, and thus they do have a sinful nature, and they live in a cursed world! Sturdy God’s Word to verify what you may hear from anyone to see if it may be true.
