Jesus Will Come To Escort You To Where He Is, When You Take You Last Breath In This Cursed World!
Galatians 6:10 (NIV)
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
People who believe that Jesus Christ came onto this cursed world to offer salvation to basically evil people are usually known as Christians. I believe once such a person accepts their salvation and begins their walk with Jesus, they will seek out other people who share their belief system, and they will become part of a family of the church of their choice. If their belief is genuine, they will try to “do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
Such people will also become changed in their perception of this world, if/when they become born again, and they will endeavor to work on becoming more Christ-like every day! They will desire to live their life trying to follow the commands Jesus gave us while He still walked this earth as the Son of Man. Jesus once said, “This is my command: Love each other. "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.” (John 15:17-19). If you have been born again, you will attempt to show love toward all other people.
Remember, being born again does not cause you to never again be tempted to do sinful things. It does, however, cause you to recognize the essence of the act and thus, you will be aware the action you are about to take is sinful. This may cause you to have second thoughts and save you from going through with this sinful action! Even saved people still have a sinful nature, while we still live in this cursed world.
Paul wrote a letter to the church in Ephesus warning them about Satan’s schemes to entice all people to remain sinful if he and his demons can trick us. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:11-12). As Paul points out “our struggle is not against flesh and blood,” but we all may be enticed by “the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
Paul previously prompted the Ephesians and us that we should try to help people to be restored to grace when they have sinned. Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:1-2). Take note that Paul also gives us a warning to be careful to not somehow become enticed by that person’s sin, and we may then commit the same sin.
Paul wrote about people who present themselves as teachers of truth, but what they teach does not match what Jesus taught, and upon what Paul is basing his teachings. And I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under those who want an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they boast about. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:12-14). Paul also alerts us to being careful what we may come to believe, as the person teaching may seem to be knowledgeable and a believer, but their message does not bear out their truthfulness. Paul while he was still called Saul was trying to wipeout Christianity, as he believed that Jesus was not the Messiah promised to the Jews! Saul was likely enticed by “Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.” This is just an opinion not necessarily supported by Scripture.
It is very interesting to me that the original or beginning Christians formed a commune, and it seems they believed that Jesus was coming back soon to be the earthly religious dictator. And Jesus would restore His chosen people to be in control of this cursed world. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. (Acts 2:42-45).
Since they were selling all their earthly possessions, they apparently did not believe they were going to continue to need separate housing for their family. They seemed to believe that all these people were part of their earthly family. God gave the Jews the promised land that already had houses and land that was now their own property. They apparently believed this earth was going to become a place of eternity, in other words this earth would become heaven! Remember, the New Testament books including Revelation had not yet been written.
What about believers today, do you anticipate the return of Jesus to rapture His people from this cursed world? Do you think this event will occur soon, as those first believers did? Hopefully, you believe that Jesus has prepared a room for you in the Paradise of God! Do you believe Jesus will come to escort you to where He is, when you take you last breath in this cursed world? What a wonderful day that will be, and it is guaranteed that that day will come in your lifetime! Okay, at the end of your earthly lifetime!
