Whoever Has The Son Has Life; Whoever Does Not Have The Son Of God Does Not Have Life.
Genesis 1:30 (NIV)
And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.
Before Jesus created human beings, He created the earth for us to live on, and He set up an environment suitable for us to live in, and He also created plants for us to eat. So, as you can read our Bible tells us that we were created as human beings right from the beginning, with the capability to reproduce after our own kind. Then Jesus commanded us to reproduce and fill the earth. Mankind and all the animals were given the ability to live on this new earth that Jesus created for us! This was possible as He breathed into each creature and mankind “the breath of life.”
Following is a more detailed description of how we were created to live on this new earth. This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created. When the LORD God made the earth and the heavens—and no shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earth and no plant of the field had yet sprung up, for the LORD God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no man to work the ground, but streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground—the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. (Genesis 2:4-7).
This then was to be heaven on this new earth, but Adam committed that first or original sin, and death and suffering came in this Garden of Eden, thus mankind could not live forever on this earth. A new plan was enacted which required a Savior to become a perfect sacrifice to offer salvation to humans who now possessed a mortal body that had to remain on this created earth. This cursed world was no longer acceptable as the heaven it was created to be. The immediate result was that mankind was a cursed being and we were no longer acceptable to live forever with the Holy, Holy, Holy God! God walked and talked to Adam and Eve before sin made them unacceptable to God!
Now let us skip the details and jump to God’s salvation plan of sending His Son to this earth as the Son of Man to offer the perfect sacrifice required to cover over our sinful nature, and to offer forgiveness of all our sins. God sent Jesus to His chosen people the Jews. However, they did not recognize Him as their Messiah or Savior. When Jesus walked this earth, He did offer evidence of His identity as the Savior of this cursed world, and the Son of God!
Some people will try to convince you that Jesus never claimed to be God or the Son of God when He walked this earth. Following is one account of His claim to be part of the Triune God! The Jews gathered round him, saying, "How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly." Jesus answered, "I did tell you, but you do not believe. The miracles I do in my Father’s name speak for me, but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no-one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no-one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one." Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, "I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?" "We are not stoning you for any of these," replied the Jews, "but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God." (John 10:27-33). As you can see these Jews believed Jesus had claimed to be God. They were going to stone Him, “because you, a mere man, claim to be God."
All that is required for you to obtain salvation of your soul and thus for you to go to heaven when you die is to believe Jesus Christ is who He claims to be the Son of God. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no-one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9). If you have faith enough to become a follower of Jesus Christ, your immortal soul will end up in heaven. Now that is the Good News!
James, one of Jesus’ earthly brothers, wrote about those who have a saving faith, will desire to do good deeds. But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder. (James 2:18-19). Remember, the good deeds become your desire after your salvation, NOT to gain you grace to allow for your salvation.
James also wrote about the influence of the spirit God breathed into you prior to your birth into this cursed world! As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. (James 2:26). When your immortal spirit leaves your earthly body your body dies, but your immortal soul will never die. If you have faith in Jesus Christ when your body dies, your immortal soul is on its Way to heaven! Those who could not have faith in Jesus Christ their soul is headed for hell! That is certainly the bad news!
Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. (1 John 5:12). Those who are born twice only die once! Those who are born once die twice! The second death is when an immortal soul ends up in hell! Where will your immortal soul end up? This is the most important question you must answer in this cursed world before you leave it by death!
