If You Are A Believer When You Die Your Immortal Soul Will Go To The Heavenly Holding Place Immediately!
1 John 2:16-17 (NIV)
For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives for ever.
We live in a world that was originally created by Jesus Christ as a permanent place for human beings to live forever! However, when sin entered this heavenly place, it was changed into a temporary living space for humankind to live on and to eventually die here! Then our immortal soul would be transported to either a heavenly holding place on a narrow path that would eventually lead us to heaven, or our immortal soul would be on a wide path that would lead to eternal damnation in a place called hell!
If you believe the ideas presented in the above paragraph, then the natural question would be “How do I get on this narrow path that will lead me to heaven.” Amazingly there is only one Way to get on that narrow path so your immortal soul will end up in heaven. We must become a follower of Jesus Christ, as He came to this temporary world and became the perfect sacrifice God the Father required to cover over the sins we commit while living in this cursed world. When you commit your life to working on becoming more Christ-like every day, then you are entered on this narrow path, and you are on your Way toward heaven, and your mind will be guided by the Holy Spirit, which Jesus left behind on this earth for us, when He went back to heaven.
It is important to point out that when sin entered this world it set into existence a curse which results in every human baby is born into this world with a sinful nature, which causes us all to be prone to sinning, and falling to the temptations from Satan and his demons. In the selected verses John wrote about how our sinful nature can entice us toward sinful desires, where he wrote, “the cravings of sinful man, comes not from the Father but from the world.” This directing by our sinful nature can make us commit sins, if we are not prepared to see our lives through the eyes of Christlikeness, but reasoning using our sinful nature to cause us to believe we deserve to be happy through doing the sin.
Paul wrote to the church in Ephesus, and for us, about such kinds of struggles. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. (Ephesians 6:12-13). We need to be honest with ourselves about the temptations we encounter in this sin cursed world. Remember, even Jesus was tempted by Satan. In the long run sinning does not result in happiness, but in the need to repent and to promise Jesus and our self, to try our best to always avoid doing anything that is sinful.
Jesus also told all His followers that we need to always include Him, through the Holy Spirit, to recognize the error of our ways in advance of doing the deed and then having the need to repent. Jesus has said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30). Are you including Jesus in how you are deciding what you will do in the morning of each day? The best way to do this is to start each day reading Scripture and studying His Word. I like to use two or three study guides to direct my reading and of course ending my Bible study with a prayer for the Spirit’s guidance for the day!
Bible study is a form of wordship and should be used to start your day of working on becoming more Christ-like that day! Your Bible is the only book you can find to read that contains some absolute truths. Only God can reveal absolute truth, since no human being knows everything, thus any truth we may each is not absolute! All other books may be inspired, but no book written by any human being(s) can give absolute truth! John wrote about worship requiring the inclusion of the Spirit if we are seeking the truth. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24).
Our Bible tells us that Jesus Christ is coming back to this earth, and His arrival will be a surprise even to believers, and a total surprise and shock to non-believers. "Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. (Luke 17:26-27). Are you ready for Jesus’ return? His first return will be to rapture the souls of all believers who are currently still alive! BUT, If you are a believer and you die before this amazing event your (our) immortal soul will go to the heavenly holding place immediately!
You are ready!
