If You Choose To Follow Jesus Christ, Then And Only Then, Will Your Immortal Soul End Up In Heaven
Matthew 7:7-8 (NIV)
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
Salvation is a free gift given to anyone who believes the Biblical accounts given to all of mankind by God describing the one plan instituted by God and described for us in the books known as the Bible. Many people in this world have been distracted by worldly ideas which have caused them to doubt the authenticity of Bible as being given to us by God. Some people have been directed by other people to select other writings of mankind as being given by a god or gods for them to perform certain duties, which will direct them what deeds they need to perform in their lifetime to gain acceptance into heaven, or some place their immortal soul will go to when they die.
There are other belief systems in this world that do not believe there is a place for your immortal soul to go when you die, and there are atheists who do not believe humans have an immortal soul, as they believe we are just the most evolved animals living in this randomly evolving world which just came into being without any design or plan! Such people do not believe there is design, because they do not believe there is a Designer or Creator God! Please pray for such people that they may find the Way the Truth and the Life offered by coming to follow Jesus Christ.
In the selected verses, Jesus is teaching about being open to His message and the door will be open to you to enter His teaching and you will be blessed by Him to come to understand the real meaning of life! Are you knocking on that door of life that Jesus is offering? It seems that most people in the USA today, do not allow any time in their lifestyle to include Jesus Christ. If you attend a church of your choice, you are likely sharing a pew with such people. Certainly, people who have chosen to avoid selecting a church to attend, and then, going there on a regular basis is unusual as something they choose to do!
Even before God’s plan brought Jesus into this world some wise people realized their need for Godly direction for their life. Solomon wrote about how knowledge must include holding God in awe (fear) and thus will lead you into accepting discipline as a good feature in developing your earthly lifestyle! The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. (Proverbs 1:7). It seems today most people think of discipline as a bad thing or they consider it as punishment not as correction of bad habits that will pull you away from Jesus, and His guidance.
James wrote about gaining wisdom is just a prayer away for followers of Jesus Christ. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. (James 1:5). Remember, when Jesus walked this earth as the Son of Man, He prayed to God His Father very often, and Jesus then received the good He was praying for. James also wrote about how stress in your life may come with temptations you may experience in your life. Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. (James 1:2-3).
Paul wrote about how the Holy Spirit assists followers of Jesus Christ to handle temptations they get in this cursed world. No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13). Working on becoming more Christ-like will enable us to better recognize the “way out” God gives us to our temptations! As Paul wrote for us, “God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.” We must recognize the “way out” that God will give us!
Jesus brought to this earth a new way of thinking about our brothers and sisters living in this world. First, we must know that in God’s eyes we are all sinners who are destined to have our immortal soul in up in hell when we die in this cursed world. Second, we then must accept that we cannot become good enough on our own volition to become good enough to avoid having our soul end up in hell. Therefore, we NEED someone to offer a perfect sacrifice to make our immortal soul appear to God as being sinless before it can be bound for heaven when we die!
So, once we are born again by accepting our salvation through the perfect sacrifice Jesus Christ died to offer for cleansing your immortal soul, and thus acceptable for entry into heaven when we die. Only then can it be possible for us to follow “The Golden Rule,” and be capable of loving our brothers and sisters in this world. Jesus tells us how God will overlook our sinful nature and allow us to exude a form of Godly love. If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. (Matthew 7:11-12).
Paul wrote about this born again change that will cause a permanent change in the outlook of every human being from looking at this world to pattern their lifestyle in seeking to try and attempt to understand Jesus Christ to thus be able to become more Christ-like every day! Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. (Galatians 6:7-8). If you choose this world, and follow Satan’s leading in this cursed world, then you will sow “to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction.”
If you choose to follow Jesus Christ then you will sow “to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.” Where will your soul end up when you die in this cursed world? If you choose to follow Jesus Christ, then and only then, will your immortal soul end up in heaven and spend eternity there with Jesus Christ!
Have you decided to follow Jesus Christ? This world is a temporary place because of sin, but if you believe you have an immortal soul, then it only makes you believe in the need to have a place where your soul will go when your mortal body dies! This is the most important question you need to answer in this lifetime! Please believe the only answer is to follow Jesus Christ!
