Have You Accepted The Free Gift Of Salvation Through The Grace Of God Our Father In Heaven?
Romans 8:28 (NIV)
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Have you been “called” by God? We live in a world that was cursed because the first man God created disobeyed a command God gave him! So, no longer was this earth the heavenly place Jesus had created it to be. Thus, every new human being born into this cursed world now received a sinful nature inherited because of that original sin. Every human being is also born into this world with an immortal soul; thus, your soul must leave your body when it dies in this temporary world. For your immortal soul to be saved and end up living with God forever in heaven, you must be called by God sometime during your mortal lifetime.
There is only one salvation plan given by God to mankind that must be believed and followed while you live in this temporary world. God sent Jesus Christ into this world to teach all members of mankind how to follow this plan. God worked with some selected humans to organize and write about this salvation plan and record it in a book God calls the Bible. Have you studied your Bible enough to understand this plan God gave us, so that you have become a believer? If you have God has “called” you to share in this joyful salvation plan, and your immortal soul will, therefore, end up in heaven with God our Father.
From the beginning God has required believers to follow or obey His commands. Jesus’ love is reserved for people who believe He is who He says He is! Jesus’ salvation plan is available to all human beings and is received as an individual gift through grace immediately when you profess to believe in Him! Jesus has said, “If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.” (John 15:10). To be born again you must confess your sins before Jesus will come into your life. John wrote about this. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9).
Did you get that, Jesus “is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” Paul wrote about this power and authority that Jesus Christ has. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. (Colossians 2:9-10). Everything we see was created by Jesus Christ! God revealed this to Jeremiah, and he wrote about it! Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. (Jeremiah 32:17).
Jesus the Creator came to this earth as the Son of man, and He was tempted by Satan, just as we are tempted to put our faith in earthly things instead of believing in the God of the Bible. The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread." Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” (Matthew 4:3-4).
We are all created in the womb with an immortal soul, and a sinful nature. Because of our sinful nature we are viewed by God as being capable of evil. In this cursed world God allows evil beings to exist here, but only human beings are allowed to be saved by becoming followers of Jesus Christ. God blessed you (us) by making you a mortal being, so that you will die in this temporary world leaving behind your mortal body and your sinful nature. As a follower of Jesus Christ your immortal soul will be transported to a room Jesus Christ is preparing for you in the Paradise of God! How about that for Good News!
Jesus told His disciples about what will happen to their immortal soul when they die. "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” (John 14:1-3). This promise from Jesus to His followers has become some of my favorite verses so you may see them often in a VOW!
It seems appropriate to end this commentary with some comments from Paul to the church in Philippi and echoed to us His followers of today. Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11). Every knee should bow because Jesus Christ is only Way God our Fater has given to mankind by which your immortal soul can be saved from the torment of hell! Have you accepted the free gift of salvation through the grace of God our Father in heaven?
If you have been born again and you know and/or love someone who may not have believed in Jesus Christ, then you have been “called” by your Lord and Savior to tell them how having Jesus as your brother in this life has greatly improved you! Be Happy in Jesus!
