God Does Not Choose The Prepared He Prepares The Chosen!
Matthew 16:25 (NIV)
For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.
We live in a temporary world as we will all die and leave the ability to breathe in and exhale and to eat the food Jesus created for us who live on this planet. However, Jesus also has given each of us an immortal piece we usually refer to as our soul. During our time on this earth, we have the capability to direct where our immortal soul will end up when we die. It will be saved and continue to live if we come to believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior God our Father has supplied for us, or it will eventually end up in hell and eventually be cast into a place of eternal separation from God.
If we spend our life on this earth seeking pleasure and chasing after worldly success and spending little to no time seeking understanding of God’s Word, our soul will be lost for the remainder of eternity! Jesus taught His disciples and us about this poor choice of how to spend our earthly lifetime. Jesus once said, “For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.” Your lifetime on this earth cannot be saved as it will end when you die! If you devote your mortal lifetime to becoming a follower of Jesus Christ, then your immortal soul will continue to live and be with Jesus Christ in a place I like to call The Paradise of God!
Since we have a mortal sinful nature, we inherited from the curse placed on this earth because of the first or original sin committed by or ancestor Adam we will end up in hell, unless we accept the free gift of forgiveness through grace granted to all the followers of Jesus Christ. Paul wrote about this gift from God. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no-one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:8-10).
Paul also reminds you (us) that your salvation is given to you as a gift as it cannot be earned even by being perfect in this world as “it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no-one can boast. Note also that Paul ends his comments by reminding us that salvation should cause us to desire to tell others about the peace we now have in this cursed world. We need to tell other people about how Jesus in our life has given us this great hope of knowing our immortal soul has been preserved for a future that includes a future meeting with Jesus face-to-face some day!
We live in a cursed world where non-believers outnumber believers. And most of us tend to be attracted to the sinful ways of this world. We have all likely joined into these sinful attractions. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by grace you have been saved. (Ephesians 2:3-5).
Peter writes about the change that happened when you (we) converted and came to believe in Jesus and become one of His followers. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul. Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us. (1 Peter 2:10-12).
It is very important that if you are a believer/follower that you mingle with other like-minded individuals on a regular basis. The only place that this may be possible in this cursed world is in a Christian church of your choice. Be sure as best you can to choose a church that follows God’s Word and teaches you to walk the walk! Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever. Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by ceremonial foods, which are of no value to those who eat them. (Hebrews 13:8-9).
Paul wrote to encourage believers to think of being kind, especially to other believers, but to extend that kindness to other people, who may be attracted to your kindness and may become a believer. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else. Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:15-18). Paul is also reminding fellow believers to “give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Jesus warned us about our priorities in this world, and where our onus to serve is rooted! Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. No-one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money. (Matthew 6:19-21, 24).
In the news in the USA recently we heard about a professional athlete and a pop music star getting married and their combined net worth will put them at least as billionaires. Recently we learned a man living in this country became the first ever trillionaire. At the same time, we hear about people dying of starvation in the same country. We also heard about a man and wife, and the grandparents holding sixteen children in a small room and giving them just enough food for them be able to stay live, and they have been doing this for years!? You may be wondering why this is included here! My answer is, these news highlights were on my mind and really do not have any great impact on our world! It is just meant to have the reader think about having more than enough or having nothing in this same country!

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
After 250 years if there remains enough Christian influence to attempt to hold to these truths this country will continue to influence the temporary world toward freedom for all people.
