The New Earth Will Become Heaven Where Your Immortal Soul Will Live With Jesus Christ Forever!
Colossians 2:8 (NIV)
See to it that no-one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.
We live in a world that has been cursed because of the entry of sin shortly after Jesus had completed creating it! We see this played out every day through violent actions committed by other human beings. We also see it in the violent actions inflicted by animals on other animals, as some animals prey on others by killing and eating them! The introduction of the belief in the theory of evolution has added significantly to this violent thought process we see acted out by other human beings every day. Please remember if you profess to be a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, that this cursed world is a temporary place for you! You have been promised by God our Father in heaven that when you die and leave this cursed world, Jesus has prepared a place for your immortal soul in heaven were it will immediately go, and await the creation of a new and perfect world, which we also refer to as heaven!
In the selected verse for this VOW, Paul is teaching us to study our Bible and to be careful to not replace what our Bible teaches about our creation by God/Jesus as completed living human beings from the beginning, able to speak to God in the Garden of Eden, and there never was a time when any animal was included in your ancestry! Humans have always been humans, and Jesus created the animals for us humans to allow us to survive in this world, He also created. Sorry theistic evolutionists but you have been taken “captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.”
A Psalmist once wrote about the fear or awe of what God can do to you, far outweighs what any human being can do to you. A human can kill your body, but only God can grant you eternal life, with Him when your immortal soul leaves this cursed world. In God, whose word I praise—in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? (Psalm 56:4). In New Testament terms, if you have accepted your salvation from Jesus Christ, your immortal soul will end up in heaven, no matter how you die in this cursed world!
The writer of Hebrews sums up how Jesus perfect sacrifice has set up that narrow path that will lead your immortal soul to end up in heaven with Jesus Christ. Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. (Hebrews 9:27-28). Believe it, Jesus is coming back to this world to bring salvation to believers for the perfect sacrifice has been accomplished.
Paul wrote about the Rapture event that is coming. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). Yes, you as a follower of Jesus will be included as it says, “the dead in Christ will rise first.” Therefore, if you have already died before this event you will come from your room Jesus prepared for you and accompany Jesus to hover over this earth. Then believers still living in this cursed world will fly up to be with you and Jesus Christ!
Life in this cursed world gives each human being the opportunity to claim their place in heaven! There is only one salvation plan offer by God our Father in heaven, and that is to follow God’s Son Jesus Christ during your lifetime in this world. All other worldly religions are offered by Satan as the ruler of this cursed world, as allowed by God. Jesus warned His disciples (us) about this one entry point; He called the narrow gate. Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:13-14).
In this world today statistically, we are told only about three billion people profess to be Christians, thus about five billion people on this earth today will have their souls end up in hell when they die. This is sad news to offer, but it makes us as believers feel a great desires to tell someone we know and/or love about how Jesus Christ in my life has improved it and has given me hope my immortal soul’s final destination will be with Jesus in heaven.
Remember, you are a sinner, and you are allowed to live on this world, as God allows evil to exist in this cursed world! With that in mind show kindness to other people and share with them your faith/HOPE that you know you have been forgiven of all your sins, by Jesus perfect sacrifice. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. (Colossians 3:13). Especially, share this wonderful story to the people who attend the church of your choice, and are family members through Jesus Christ! I do not believe you can become a true believer without being part of the family of Jesus in a church in this cursed world!
Now to end this commentary on a positive note, let us read about one of the promises of God, and a picture of the heaven that awaits all followers of Jesus Christ! I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21: 2-4).
The old, cursed world has been destroyed and with it all the remains of animals and humans who ever lived in it. God has replaced it with a new world where, “There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” I believe all the immortal souls that God has deemed faithful are coming from a place or room Jesus Christ has prepared for them (us) and it being referred to as “the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God!”
The new earth will become heaven where your immortal soul will live with Jesus Christ forever!
