Followers Of Jesus Christ Are Members Of The Family Of God, Through Jesus Christ Who Is Their Brother!
Colossians 3:13 (NIV)
Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Every church in this cursed world is being run by sinners for sinners! The perfect sanctuary is being maintained in heaven and you will experience it if you can believe that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior while you become an active member of a sinner’s church during this earthly lifetime! Your church cannot save your immortal soul, but it can direct you to worship Jesus/God and thus your salvation becomes the requirement of growth in becoming more Christ-like every day NOT just on the Sabbath day, when you worship there as part of the congregation!
Being an active member of a church is not like being a member of some earthly club, as it directs you toward worshiping God as part of a congregation made up of your brothers and sisters through Jesus Christ. It is true you become part of the family of God through your community of worshipers! It is the safest place on this earth where you can Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Every true believer there is still apt to be a sinner, but each one knows they can “Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”
Paul wrote about the oneness that the church of Jesus Christ should display. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called--one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. (Ephesians 4:3-6). Did you see the plot here in this description of the church of Jesus Christ it is ONE! While every church may have differences of opinion about worldly concerns and worldly views, the REAL church agrees on the basics of belief, and that is that Jesus Christ is who we follow and attempt to become more like every day for the rest of our earthly life!
Salvation is an individual commitment that YOU must make in order to become a true follower of Jesus Christ. While this is true, unless you become a contributing member of the church of your choice, it is my opinion that your ability to become more Christ-like is NOT going to happen in this cursed world! What do you believe?
Jesus once talked about the difficulty of staying on the path that will lead us to heaven. If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:11-14). Have you discovered that narrow gate by being born again? It will, I believe, be difficult to stay on that narrow path, as the wide path of worldly attractions tries to draw you toward it as what seems like the correct way to go!
I believe we all need help through association on a regular basis with likeminded people to strengthen our resolve to remain on the correct path that is the Way of Jesus as He is the gate. John wrote about this feeling of kinship with other believers. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. (1 John 3:2). Our existence in this mortal world will eventually end in death, and at that point your immortal soul will leave this earth and will end up in either heaven or hell.
Jesus once told His disciples that He is the only Way for your immortal soul to end up in heaven! When He told them Thomas asked the question most of us would have asked Jesus if we were there. Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?" Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him." (John 14:5-7). Jesus here also is telling them and us that He is a member of the Triune God, as the Son of God in heaven, and as the Son of Man while living on this earth as the perfect sacrifice!
Paul wrote about this triune relationship and about the saving grace offered to all members of mankind. To receive salvation of your immortal soul and thus allowing it to stay on that narrow path that will lead your immortal soul to heaven, you must become followers of Jesus Christ. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. (2 Corinthians 13:14). If you have accepted salvation, then you will feel the need to share your joy with those who do not believe, and therefore, their immortal soul is destined to end up in hell!
Worldly people are being directed by Satan and/or other non-believers and therefore it is better to limit your association with such people as they may direct you to swerve off the narrow path and spend some of your time on the wide path. Being an active member of a church will allow you give and get support for learning to know the love of God, which will allow you to worship Jesus with likeminded people, and to help you work on becoming more Christ-like every day!
Followers of Jesus Christ are members of the family of God, through Jesus Christ who is their brother! The world offers separation from God and eternity in hell! Only followers of Jesus Christ will experience eternity with the Triune God in heaven. The choice is yours, whom will you choose to believe and follow?
