Yes, You Can Know You Are Going To Heaven, If You Believe Jesus Christ, Is Your Savior!
Ephesians 4:11-13 (NIV)
It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fulness of Christ.
In this cursed world there are organizations created and run by people who all possess a sinful nature passed on to each new generation. Some well-meaning people run these earthly establishments, and some are being run by evil people who have not believed God’s Word. Then there are organizations called churches and again some such organizations follow God’s Word, and some have chosen a human being to follow. Only the churches referred to as Christian are what Paul was writing about to the Ephesian church.
All professing Christian churches MUST believe that the Bible expresses God’s Word, and thus they use it to conduct all the business required to keep their church operating based as much as possible on directions taken from God’s Word. When a church professes and advertises it to be a Christian church, then it must use the Holy Bible to discern what actions God calls sinful in His Word and avoid allowing their church to follow some sinful path. There is no other Way for human beings to honor Jesus Christ than to know what actions or lifestyles are sinful, because such actions or lifestyles are defined as sinful in our Bible.
Professing Christians need to study their Bibles so they can intelligently discern when some people suggesting making changes to allow their church to accept some actions or lifestyles to be acceptable to the running of their church. It has been so long since Jesus walked this cursed world that some people may become impatient wondering when Jesus will come back. Peter wrote about this delay in Jesus’ return. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9). Jesus wants all His followers to repent of their sinful nature, and to work on becoming more Christ-like every day.
Jesus warned His followers to separate themselves from worldly thinking, which will make them cling to this lifetime, and thus become confused about how to conduct themselves and what He desires for us. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. (Matthew 16:25). If your emphasis is pointing toward sexual freedom in this lifetime as being more important than leading as much as possible a sinless lifestyle, then you are not becoming more Christ-like, as Jesus taught His disciples to do!
Jesus taught about how difficult it may be for His followers to get on the narrow path, and then, to be able to stay on that path, because of distractions we will encounter in this cursed world. If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.” (Matthew 7:11-15).
Jesus warns His followers to recognize people who He calls false prophets, "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.” Such people may appear to be like a sheep, who are following Jesus, as He is the shepherd who is leading us through His earthly churches. People who attempt to bring worldly beliefs into His churches, so that their lifestyle would seem to be acceptable, are thus leading His church astray!
Paul wrote about how true believers and followers of Jesus Christ, must be born again, and if they are they will then admit their sinning lifestyle, and come to His church to be cleansed of their sin. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. (2 Corinthians 5:17-20).
The coming of Jesus Christ into this world as our Lord and Savior was continued in this world by formation of the Christian faith, and then churches were formed to continue His teaching. These churches are meant to shield its followers from worldly cravings that the Bible calls sins. John wrote about this separation from worldly desires, which Jesus’ churches are meant to save us from. Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does— comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives for ever. (1 John 2:15-17). Some people may be proud of their sinful lifestyle and try to get their church to accept it.
Salvation is aided by the churches in this world that do not allow worldly desires to permeate the rules of orderly conduct to be followed by its members. Jesus’ churches must be equipped with knowledgeable leaders who will not allow worldly desires to become acceptable guidelines for its members. The Triune God gave Jesus’ followers the guidelines for existing in this cursed world! It is God’s Word, and it allows us to read our Bible to verify what God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit did to Create this world for mankind, and to maintain it for us to live here.
At some time in the future this current cursed world will be destroyed by fire, and this Triune God will create a new world for all those who have followed Jesus Christ in this cursed world. Look forward to this new world AKA heaven! Jesus perfect sacrifice paid your Way to heaven!
Yes, you can know you are going to heaven, if you believe Jesus Christ, is your Savior!
