Are You Ready To Fly With Jesus, When He Comes To Rapture The Immortal Soul Of All Those Who Have Chosen To Become His Followers?
Hebrews 9:24 (NIV)
For Christ did not enter a man-made sanctuary that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence.
Can you grasp the idea of Jesus Christ being in heaven and thinking of you and being willing to share His yoke with you? That means that when you labor with problems in this life Jesus is right there with you helping you deal with this cursed life! Are you pulling with Jesus or are you trying to do everything on your own power? You are on your own, if you are not participating in a fellowship at a church of your choice! Of course, you can connect with Jesus on your own, but then you are also defending yourself against Satan and his demons on your own too!
Following is the selected verse in context as the writer of Hebrews lived his faith. For Christ did not enter a man-made sanctuary that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence. Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. (Hebrews 9:24, 27-28). To paraphrase a bit, “Jesus entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence.”
Note, that “Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people.” Since Jesus was sinless, He was able to be the perfect sacrifice required by God to allow Him to take on all of the sins of mankind and die as a sacrificial Lamb, or as a scape goat, thus taking the stain of these sins, so God would forgive and forget our sins. Thus, your sins are now covered by the shed blood of Jesus Christ making Him the Savior of the people of this cursed world, if they believe Jesus, is their Savior! Why would you not want to join with these forgiven people at least on every sabbath day? No other worldly membership offers salvation of your immortal soul, therefore, membership in Jesus’ church is the most valuable possession you can obtain in your lifetime!
John the Baptist was baptizing people for them to repent of their sins. Yet Jesus came to John to be baptized, even though He was sinless. By this time John had already recognized Jesus as the awaited Messiah. Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. But John tried to deter him, saying, "I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?" Jesus replied, "Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfil all righteousness." Then John consented. As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." (Matthew 3:13-17).
This event is a time when all three persons in the Triune God are active at the same time. While Father God is still in heaven His voice is heard, and both the Holy Spirit is seen as a dove, and of course Jesus is there as the Son of man and is obviously also now known as the Son of God. Immediately after Jesus’ baptism, He was tempted by Satan for forty days and forty nights. It is obvious from this written account, Satan has now recognized Jesus as the promised Messiah too!
Now let us take a huge jump from Jesus start of His earthly ministry by now being recognized as the Messiah on this earth to what is likely His next return to this earth, which has become known as the Rapture. For the sake of ease in my writing this, I am going to skip right to Paul’s description of this future event.
When this event occurs and you as a believer have already died (or fallen asleep) then you will be included in the event as you will come from the Paradise of God with Jesus. “We believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.” Paul was giving reassurance to people who were concerned about those believers who have already died, and would they be included? Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord’s own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-15).
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). If this prophesied event occurs before you, as a believer have died then, “we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.” So, are you ready to fly with Jesus, when He comes to Rapture all the immortal soul of those who have chosen to become followers of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior?
Okay, are you ready to jump again to another wonderful prophecy about the awards believers will receive? John wrote about the revelations he received and recorded for us in the book Revelation. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21: 2-4). All the immortal souls that have been saved from the cursed earth are now coming down in the Holy City as John has written for us to read and look forward to coming true.
This commentary should encourage you (us) to be Happy in Jesus, as we read some of the blessings that God has instore for those who have chosen to believe and follow His Son while living is a cursed world. Paul wrote for the Ephesians and all believers who give the glory in The Church for all our blessing to God our Father in heaven. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. (Ephesians 3:20-21).
