Jesus Christ Supplies The Only Way Out Of This Cursed World And To Be Set On The Path That Leads To Heaven.
1 John 4:9-10 (NIV)
This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Every person has a free will that God blessed or cursed us with! The training we receive in this world results in how we will use this free will. If loving people gave our training, then we are apt to do good deeds in this world and then we can likewise offer good will training to people who surround us in this cursed world! God sent a Savior into this cursed world to supply a basic structure for education of all people. However, in this cursed world God allows Satan to influence all members of mankind through their sinful nature to harbor hate of their fellow man as their driving force!
Jesus came into this world to give us a way out of this worldly Satanic influence by showing us a loving Way of training anyone we encounter that has already been influenced by their worldly training. We need to try to understand why God chose to curse this world, but then God planned a Way out for us all. In today’s selected verse we get an answer, when we read, “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” God showed us grace because He loves us even as we are!
Paul offered advice to Timothy as he was becoming an earthly trainer of people who would listen to his advice on how they should live in this cursed world. This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance (and for this we labor and strive), that we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, and especially of those who believe. (1 Timothy 4:9-10). We need to ask ourselves, “have put our hope in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men!” Jesus Christ supplies the only Way out of this cursed world and to be set on the path that leads to heaven.
Jesus came into this world to be the perfect sacrifice God required for granting the forgiveness of all sins for anyone who would believe in Jesus and be sorry for the sins they have committed, and we are willing to repent. For God was pleased to have all his fulness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. (Colossians 1:19-20). Jesus shed blood covers over your (our) sins making them no longer be remembered by God. God forgives through grace and forgets our sins forever.
This peace Jesus offers is a personal peace that develops hope in believers’ souls and gives us some control over our sinful nature. This peace leads us to be able to feel true love for our neighbor, even the ones we do not like! Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. (1 John 4:7-8). Are you working on developing a love for God? Take note, working on becoming more Christ-like includes developing love of God our Father!
A picture of how Jesus loved all people while He walked this earth as the Sin of Man was exemplified by Jesus granting forgiveness of a man’s sins, while He Himself was dying on a cross. The criminal who was also being crucified with Jesus, asked Jesus to forgive his many sins. Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise." (Luke 23:42-43). This man had already admitted he was a criminal and deserved to be on his cross that day. Yet Jesus forgave his sins and told this man he would be with Jesus in the paradise of God that day!
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. (1 Peter 2:24). So, you have been given the opportunity to be saved from your sins by merely believing that Jesus is your Lord and Savior. Please believe you cannot save yourself by being a good person. As Paul tells us, no one is righteous. As it is written: "There is no-one righteous, not even one; there is no-one who understands, no-one who seeks God. (Romans 3:10-11).
Since Jesus died for your sins, you can have the ultimate hope of knowing that your immortal soul will end up in heaven when you leave this earth. It is good to teach others about your great hope. But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. (1 Peter 3:15-16).
We may suffer in this cursed world for being a follower of Jesus Christ. Paul wrote to Timothy about testifying without fear. So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Saviour, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. (2 Timothy 1:8-10).
It is a great responsibility for us to study our Bible and try to decipher what God/Jesus may mean in selected Scriptures! God has told us we are to study His Word, and to teach our children about the truths He has given us. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. (Deuteronomy 6: 6-7). Since we as believers are all children of God, then we should be trying to teach every believer as they are all our brothers and sisters in Christ!
As an example of using God’s Word to promote disbelief, did you know some non-believer has said the Bible says, “there is no God!” They pulled these words from the following verse. So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that an idol is nothing at all in the world and that there is no God but one. (1Corinthians 8:4). Of course, this verse is touting that there is only one true God, and that it is the God of our Bible!
So, I always try to do that when writing the VOW!
