There Will Someday Be ONE Rapture And You Will Participate In It, Either Coming With Jesus Or Flying Up To Join Him And The ONE Group Of Saints!
Romans 5:17 (NIV)
For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.
At the beginning of time God gave the first man a command to not eat the fruit of one tree that was growing in the Garden of Eden. Thus, the first or original sin was committed when Adam decided to eat the fruit of that tree. Immediately a curse was placed on mankind which caused the newly created world to be cursed and changed from an immortal place where all people would no longer live forever, they would eventually die. More importantly when a person dies their immortal soul must now leave their mortal body and go to a waiting place where their soul will stay until God decides where they will reside for eternity.
Since every human being is now born with a sinful nature inherited from Adam’s curse, we will all fail to live a sinless life, and therefore our immortal soul will end up going to hell separated from God forever when we die in this cursed world!
As you can see we all need a Savior someone who lives in this cursed world who does not have a sinful nature, and who then lives a life free from sin, and is willing to serve as the perfect sacrifice to offer their blood as the needed offering so God will forgive and forget the sins people have committed. God then requires you to believe this account of such a life, and to become followers of this person. In this season of lent we are celebrating this saving event when Jesus Christ died and rose from the dead as the Savior of this cursed world.
Today’s select verse is the first sentence in the following writings from Paul. For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ. Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men. For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous. (Romans 5:17-19).
There is only one salvation plan offered by God for mankind and it is very important for us as followers of Jesus Christ to believe that. It is the mission of all Jesus’ followers to be willing and able to tell other people how believing Jesus Christ is your Savior has improved your life. If you are willing to accept there may be other ways to get to heaven, then we may not tell others about the friend we have in Jesus!
Confession is good for the soul; an adage tells us. John wrote about it too. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9). Remember all sins are forgivable if these sins are just admitted and confessed. God sent Jesus into this world to offer forgiveness of sins for everyone who accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior! Sin brought death into this world and without accepting Jesus offer of salvation people will lose their immortal soul. As Paul wrote “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23). Have you accepted God’s free gift?
More about this gift of salvation and why it is a gift, not something we can earn, as we heard earlier, “the wages of sin is death.” So, if you have sins that are not covered by the blood of Jesus, you will earn death! This death referred to here is the second death the death that takes the soul to hell! For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no-one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9). Salvation is available only as a gift, it cannot be earned by good works.
Before Jesus came to this earth and arose from the grave salvation was only offered to the Israelites who were God’s chosen people. As prophesied Jesus brought salvation to the Gentiles too. Paul wrote about this change. This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus. I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power. (Ephesians 3:6-7). Therefore, all followers of Jesus Christ are, “members together of one body.”
During this season of Lent, please pray that all true followers of Jesus Christ may be influenced by the one resurrection and come to be drawn to see dividing entities such as denominations be ignored allowing believers in Jesus Christ to appear as one large group of saved souls! Then we can as one group better defend ourselves against the schemes of Satan. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. (Ephesians 6:10-11).
There are trials in life in this cursed world for those who choose to become followers of Jesus Christ. It seems a shame that many of such trials come from other followers of Jesus Christ! There is one triune God, one Son of God, one Holy Spirit, one salvation plan based on the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the one and only Messiah! Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. (James 1:12).
Choose a church attended by like-minded people and attend it regularly! Jesus attended a form of church regularly, and He prayed to God our Father regularly! Do likewise in this cursed world, and you too will someday receive the crown of life! There will someday be ONE rapture, and you will participate in it, either coming with Jesus or flying up to join Him and the ONE group of saints and you will all follow Him to a place called the Paradise of God!
