Active Branches Attached To Jesus Christ Have A Room Awaiting Them In The Paradise Of God!
Romans 6:23 (NIV)
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Have you accepted the greatest gift of all time? This is the only one truly free gift you can ever receive in this world! This is the only eternal gift you will ever receive in this cursed world. Every other thing you are given will wear out or will be eaten, and thus, is a temporary gift, which may give you joy in this temporary world. Of course, gifts given out of love may extend into the future, if you have already received that greatest gift, “the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
God blessed mankind with a plan of salvation that brings with it a gift that includes righteousness for you. God sent His Son into this cursed world to cover over our sinful nature to make us be acceptable in the presence of God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus being the required perfect sacrifice allows His shed blood to cover over our sins, “so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” Wait there is more awards coming to those who believe Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. As John wrote, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9).
Our adopted righteousness taken from Jesus’ perfect sacrifice puts us in a position of power against the temptations of Satan. Paul wrote about our power supplied through Jesus to give us armor as protection from evil. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. (Ephesians 6:10-11). This strength also offers us a power source when we pray allowing us to feel a connection to God through our brother, Jesus!
Jesus has told His followers to take up our cross and follow Him. This may indicate at least the possibility of experiencing some suffering in this world from non-believers. Paul wrote about this potential for suffering in this cursed world. For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him, since you are going through the same struggle you saw I had, and now hear that I still have. (Philippians 1:29-30). Paul experienced much suffering in his life, but even in the midst of suffering he continued to sing God’s praises even when he was imprisoned for his beliefs.
As a believer in Jesus Christ any suffering in this lifetime may be a burden, but it should be remembered that when this life ends on this earth, our life does not end there! Our immortal soul God blessed us with will just transition from this earth to a waiting place, until heaven is ready on the new earth. Jesus is preparing a room for His followers who will stay in their room until heaven is ready.
John wrote for us what Jesus proclaimed for us His followers. "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going." Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?" Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him." These promises of Jesus to me are the most important prophesy given to His followers and they cause me to recall it when I may feel down in this world!
What a wonderful promise this is of being able to believe there is a place for me reserved in the Paradise of God. Then when I die Jesus will come back and escort me to my heavenly room! Jesus also claims to be the Son in the Triune God, when He says, “If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him." Jesus is assuring us, His disciples, that He was God on this earth, as the Son of Man!
Paul wrote to Timothy assuring him that Jesus is mediating on our behalf with God the Father even while are still living on this earth, and more importantly, Jesus will mediate with God when He escorts us to meet God, when we leave this earth and arrive in a heavenly place. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men—the testimony given in its proper time. (1 Timothy 2:5-6).
Jesus told us that tapping into His power while still on this earth is only possible, if we are attached to Him as a follower! Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). Are you an active branch of Jesus Christ? Active branches attached to Jesus Christ have a room awaiting them in the Paradise of God! Now that is Good News with eternal blessing assured! Amen!
