Remember, You Must Have Faith In Jesus To Please God, And For Him To Listen To And Answer Your Prayers!
John 14:1-3 (NIV)
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”
Jesus was talking to His disciples when He told them about the plans God had for anyone who would choose to become His followers after He fulfilled God’s requirements as being the Savior of the world. Therefore, if you have chosen to become a follower of Jesus Christ, these promises are being given to you! When every human being dies in this cursed world their immortal soul leaves their mortal body and goes to a holding place awaiting entry into either heaven or hell. The most important accomplishment for every person to complete in their lifetime is to find the Way for their soul to end up in heaven! Are you on that narrow path that leads your soul to end up in heaven?
To be followers of Jesus Christ we must continually try to work on becoming more Christ-like every day! If we do this, we should think more Christ-like every day. Paul wrote about this in his letter to the Philippians. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! (Philippians 2:5-8).
We must develop a faith and believe that Jesus lived as the Son of Man and became the perfect sacrifice required by God our Father in heaven to be the Savior of this cursed world! Then you must continue to work out your faith in this mortal world. Having a saving faith is required for you to be able to converse with Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit, Jesus left behind for His followers. Then we can be pleasing to God and receive rewards. The writer of Hebrews wrote, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6).
Jesus lived in this cursed world as the Son of Man, and then He died was buried and rose as the Son of God and went back to heaven as the living sacrifice to completely cover all the sins of mankind with His shed blood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. (Hebrews 7:25). Now our Savior lives in heaven at the right hand of God our Father and intercedes for all His earthly followers!
Paul wrote to the Colossians about this wonderful mystery which all believers will come to understand when we mature in our belief about Jesus Christ’s mission in this cursed world as the promised Messiah. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. (Colossians 1:27-28). We as followers of Jesus need to continue to work on our ability to fulfill our calling and the commands Jesus made as He was leaving this earth and return to heaven.
Jesus instructed His disciples to go to the place where He would ascend from this earth to return to heaven. As He did, He left this command for all those who will chose to be his followers in this cursed world. Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshipped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:16-20).
If you are reading this it is very likely that you are working on becoming more Christ-like, because you are a believer in Jesus Christ and you desire to follow His lead and have your immortal soul end up in heaven when it leaves your mortal body. As followers we have been commanded to work on becoming knowledgeable of God Word, so that we can help others by “teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
Can you teach everything Jesus commanded? I believe this command is pointed to each individual believer, but in this cursed world it can only be accomplished by that one individual being an active member and joining with other believers in a Church of your choice! What do you believe Jesus was teaching His disciples as He was ascending from this earth to join Our Father in heaven?
Remember, you must have faith in Jesus to please God, and for Him to listen to and answer your prayers! Jesus final comment as He was ascending was, “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Believers are never alone as Jesus left behind the Holy Spirit to guide you in this cursed world! Jesus is always the answer to life’s questions!
