I Find This World Even Though It Is Cursed, It Is Still A Wonderful Place To Live Temporarily!
Luke 19:10 (NIV)
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.
Do you seek to view things of this world for the purpose of finding pleasure? Is such viewing a healthy habit such as enjoying beautiful flowers and believing Jesus created them for our enjoyment! However, do you try to view people and other attractions that would not be approved by Jesus? This is quite a normal thing to do, because you have an inherited sinful nature that contributes to our bent for sinning in this way. That is why Jesus came into this cursed world, where every human being has a sinful nature. So, to allow any of us to be acceptable to God, we needed Him to know to have “the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
Jesus came into this world for that purpose. Then Jesus left The Holy Spirit behind on this earth to offer all of us a salvation plan. John wrote about this cursed world and mankind’s attraction to loving this world instead of loving God our Father. For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. (1John 2:16). We are naturally attracted to the other sex in order to procreate of like kinds, as our Bible plainly teaches. However, such human tendencies are also to be conducted within the bonds of marriage, which our Bible also teaches.
As believers we must understand that this world became a temporary place when the first or original sin entered it. Jesus created it as a permanent or heavenly place for mankind to live on forever, but sin cursed the world and thus it must be destroyed and replaced by a new perfect place for our immortal souls to live on in the future. Paul wrote about this struggle for us to live in this temporary place and die to leave behind our sinful nature. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:17-18).
Here Paul is telling us to use the eyes of our immortal soul when he wrote, “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.” Here we would be looking forward with our belief in our prophesied future that our Bible describes and teaches all believers. Paul also wrote about our death in this cursed world is not the end, but it is a blessing from God to release us from this temporary place, so we can have our immortal soul move to a place of holding until the new earth is ready for us. “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:55-57).
Therefore, a believer’s death is a Victory in Jesus! As believers we need to cling to the hope for a future that ends with your immortal soul being with Jesus Christ for eternity. The writer of Hebrews tries to describe this eternal victory for believers. If we have faith enough for us to believe this wonderful story, we then have great hope for our future. Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (Hebrews 11:1). Our faith in Jesus Christ allows us to be “certain of what we do not see.” I find this world even though it is cursed, it is still a wonderful place to live temporarily! How do you feel about this world from which the Holy Spirit encourages you if you are a believer!
If you believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of man who cured people ailments, and forgave their sins that were negatively affecting them, and then Jesus Christ left this cursed world as the Son of God, after He became the perfect sacrifice to allow forgiveness of your (our) sins, and a guarantee of heaven for all believers, when they die and leave this temporary holding place!
If you have that faith that grants you Victory in Jesus, then when you pray God will be pleased with you! And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6). You should then believe that God will answer your prayers, as He wills to answer!
John wrote about this positive connection with God though our prayers. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. (1 John 5:14-15). Our belief in Jesus perfect sacrifice has covered our sins and made us appear as white as clean snow! Answered prayer in this cursed world is a wonderful promise, but it pales in comparison to the promise of moving to your room Jesus prepared for you in the heavenly Jerusalem, when your immortal soul leaves this temporary earth!
