Be Thankful For Knowing That As A Believer Your Immortal Soul Is Destined To End Up In Heaven With Jesus Christ!
Philippians 4:6 (NIV)
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Next week in the USA we will observe Thanksgiving Day, and it allows us to give thanks to God for blessing this country, which is observed by many people as the greatest country in this cursed world! People seek to come into this country, and they flee from the country they live in to escape poor conditions for the aspect of living in this great place they have heard of as a wonderful place! Many of the people already living here do not see it as this wonderful place and they complain about having been born here. What about you, will you be praying to God and giving thanks for being blessed by being able to live in this blessed place in this cursed world?
Before Jesus came into this cursed world to allow people to come to know that their immortal soul would be saved and end up in heaven, people had to offer sacrifices in the hope that it may offer them salvation for their immortal soul. Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. (Psalm 95:1-2). They could only hope they would be saved after God judged their attempts to do the correct sacrifices during their lifetime in this cursed world.
If you are a follower of Jesus Christ on Thanksgiving Day you can already know that your immortal soul will end up in heaven when you die and leave this cursed world. Have you accepted salvation by claiming Jesus as your Lord and Savior? That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (Romans 10:9-10).
Remember, salvation requires a personal commitment to accept the offer of the perfect sacrifice, which Jesus Christ made for all of mankind. So, when you pray on this special day of thanksgiving that the most important part of your freedom is not guaranteed by an earthly government, but by your Father in heaven. Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? (1 Corinthians 10:16). People living in the USA will be giving thanks for our freedom in this world, but everyone who has chosen to be followers of Jesus Christ wherever you live in this cursed world, count your blessings that are eternal and granted to all the children of God.
As a follower of Jesus Christ, you have the Holy Spirit indwelling you and giving you directions leading to a happy lifetime. When you pray anytime think of those who may hear your prayer, but they do not understand, make sure to ask your Spirit to move upon them so they may feel the undertow of your prayer. If you are praising God with your spirit, how can one who finds himself among those who do not understand say "Amen" to your thanksgiving, since he does not know what you are saying? (1 Corinthians 14:16).
When Jesus was being crucified one of the criminals that was also being crucified talked (prayed) to Jesus. We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong." Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise." (Luke 23:41-43). It is true every sinner has the opportunity for obtaining their salvation even if they die shortly after praying to Jesus Christ for salvation, BUT do not put off making that prayer, as no one is guaranteed to live until tomorrow!
It seems good to close this thanksgiving message with Paul thoughts on the Rapture, when Jesus Christ comes down to this cursed world, and He collects all of those who believe in Him and takes them back with Him to the Paradise of God. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord for ever. Therefore encourage each other with these words. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18).
On this coming Thanksgiving Day, be thankful for our governing people, and that our freedom is maintained, if you are living in the USA! However, more importantly be thankful if you are a follower of Jesus Christ, and then, be thankful for knowing that your immortal soul is destined to end up in heaven with Jesus Christ! The Good News is knowing that whatever important question is asked, The Answer is Jesus Christ! Amen! Amen!
Wishing you and your loved ones will have a Happy Thanksgiving Day!
