We Should All Now Be Praying For Those Who Were Just Elected To Be Inspired By Jesus Christ!
1 Peter 1:8-9 (NIV)
Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
It is amazing to me that nothing you do on this earth will gain you the salvation of your immortal soul! There is only one Way for anyone being born into this cursed world that will assure the salvation of your immortal soul, and that is to believe Jesus is who He said He is when He walked this earth! Therefore, the goal of everyone must be to work on developing your belief that Jesus Christ is God’s emissary who was born into this world through a human being, who was of course a female, and that Jesus did not have an earthly father who was of course a male! Therefore, when Jesus was born into this world, He did not inherit the sinful nature that is passed on to all by the human male who supplies the spermatozoa needed to fertilize the female’s ova.
As the selected verses state none of us living now ever saw Jesus as He walked this earth as a man, but we have chosen to believe He did live here as a man, and most importantly that He was sent here by God the Father, for the express reason to fulfil being the perfect sacrifice God required to allow forgiveness of all your sins, so that your immortal soul will end up in heaven after your mortal body dies on this cursed earth! As Peter wrote, if our faith allows us to believe in Jesus Christ, “even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”
Paul wrote about this wonderful promise from God to mankind. But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (Romans 10:8-10). Followers of Jesus Christ have built buildings where believers can meet for the purpose of worshipping Jesus Christ, and these earthly churches have developed a belief system that requires certain rules be followed and certain procedures or sacraments be completed!
Some of our earthly churches have placed a requirement on certain sacraments that MUST be completed to receive your salvation! It would seem that the above Bible verses MAY preclude the need for anything else for your immortal soul to be saved in addition to believing in Jesus Christ which guarantees the salvation of your immortal soul. My suggestion is for us to follow such requirements, as I believe God would bless your desire to please the other members of this church of your choice! Doing so should help you feel good and add to the joy of believing your immortal soul is headed for heaven!
Paul wrote about believer’s redemption through the blood Jesus shed for you (us). In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment--to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ. (Ephesians 1:7-10). The body of Christ given for you is the main thought all believers should agree on as the needed perfect sacrifice, and that should “bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.”
This belief that Jesus Christ supplies the only Way that any human being can know their immortal soul will end up in heaven, means we are requested by Jesus Christ to tell anyone how having been given our salvation has improved our life in this cursed world. Peter wrote about us being the chosen people of God. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. (1 Peter 2:9). Peter was writing about the Jews who became followers of Jesus, but of course every human being is included in this group of chosen people.
Paul wrote about believers as being called holy people too! I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. (Ephesians 1:18-19a). Paul also wrote about us being ministers of the new covenant. He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. (2 Corinthians 3:6). When you tell a non-believer about Jesus improving your life you are acting as a minister for Jesus. You could offer a key thought that could cause them to become believers!
Since we just had elections this week it seems like a good idea to think of Jesus offering some control over who is elected either for good or evil, based on the need for blessing or cursing of the electorate being represented. Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. (Romans 13:1). This may be a rough paraphrase of what was written, but it does have some Biblical backing! Thinking positively about those who serve in governing us as being inspired by Jesus.
We should all now be praying for those who were just elected to be inspired by Jesus Christ! This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. (Romans 13:6). Everyone who chooses to serve in our governing needs our prayers to not be tempted by Satan, but instead they are already being inspired by God, because of believer’s prayers!
Whatever the question, Jesus is the answer!
