God The Father Sent Jesus To This Earth To Establish A Merciful Way To Forgive Sinful People!
Hebrews 11:1, 3 (NIV)
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
What is reality? Atheists believe that the universe is here by an accident that occurred billions of years ago, but this whole idea is just a made-up story, as there is no way of knowing the details needed to have faith that it is reality! However, if you are a follower of Jesus Christ, then your Bible has details that have been supplied by God explaining how this universe was created from nothing, and it was created for mankind! The earth was created for us to live in forever; it was heaven on earth! Then sin entered it and thus it was cursed and could no longer serve as heaven.
Our Bible tells us that this (universe) earth is a huge graveyard because sin brought death and suffering to it, and thus, it cannot ever again be a place called heaven. Remember your Bible also tells us that God created everything we see, but God is not part of this created universe, God resides eternally in the true heavenly realms. Remember God walked and talked to Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden before sin brought on the curse. So, with all this in mind we can see that, “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” This earth is a temporary place for mankind to live on and to die on, and our faith must be focused on a place where God resides forever, and as followers of Jesus Christ we destined to end up there!
Another translation tries to explain: What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see. (Hebrews 11:3 (NLT)). If you believe that every human life is a gift from God, as I do, then you must believe that only human beings are created with an immortal piece we refer to as our soul. This soul will eventually leave our mortal bodies and go to a holding place and eventually end up in either heaven or hell. By your faith in Jesus Christ, we have the eternal hope that your immortal soul will end up on the new earth, AKA heaven!
The key to a strong belief is basing your belief on God’s Word! Developed by a lifetime study of your Bible and believing it was given to mankind by God. remember, the Holy Spirit was left behind for you, when Jesus left this earth to go sit at the right hand of God the Father in heaven. So, this Spirit will help you come to better understand God’s Word.
Jesus once told The Parable of the Sower (Luke 8:11-15), and after He finished the disciples ask Him to explain to them. Following is what Jesus taught them.
Jesus said, "This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God.”
Some people are taught about the Bible, and they are impressed by what they hear, but they do not study their Bible. Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.
Some people are taught about the Bible, and they are impressed by what they hear, but they do not study their Bible. Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.
Some people are taught about the Bible, and they are impressed by what they hear, but they do not study their Bible. The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature.
Some people are taught about the Bible, and they are impressed by what they hear, and adopt a lifetime study of their Bible. But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.
Of course, besides this lifetime study of your Bible to enrich your belief system, I believe it is also essential for you to mingle with other believers on a regular basis. You will be forced to mingle with non-believers, and it is essential for you to choose to do so, then you can tell them how having Jesus in your life has greatly improved it! I believe it is essential for those who profess to be a Christian to regularly attend a church of your choice!
Paul wrote about this to the Colossians church what he termed the hope of glory. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. (Colossians 1:27). This hope of glory comes from “the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Are you working on becoming more Christ-like every day to gain this wonderful hope of glory?
The reality is not this earth as it is a temporary place for you (us) to live, but it is certainly the center of reality for us now. The future holds the eternal reality for believers in Jesus Christ! The answer is Jesus Christ! Whatever the question is Jesus is the answer!
