Biblical Truths That Many People Have Come To NOT Believe Or At Least They May Doubt!
Part 1 of 2
1 Corinthians 2:14 (NIV)
The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.
In last week’s VOW I ended it with this comment:
Next week I plan to write about some of the Biblical truths that many people have come to NOT believe or at least they may doubt, which God says in His Word have truly occurred! Some such people may share a pew with you in the church of your choice each Sabbath Day!
Only followers of Jesus Christ receive the prompting of the Holy Spirit, and this first occurs when the believer is born again! Jesus tried to explain being born again to Nicodemus and John recorded this conversation for us. "How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb to be born!" Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no-one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ (John 3:4-7).
You become born again when you accept the salvation offered through the perfect sacrifice offered for you by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Until a person is born again, they cannot understand any message from the Holy Spirit, and thus they cannot accept the instructions given by God through our Holy Bible. Non-believers cannot understand God’s Word it seems like foolishness to them, as the Holy Spirit is not available to them for guidance! Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. (John 3:20-21).
In the selected verse we hear “The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, as they are discerned only through the Spirit.” It seems to me that we are seeing this lack of Spirit directed understanding in many of the people running the Christian churches in the USA, and around the world today! It appears, that Satanic inspired confusion is allowing many churches to err in their judgement about what God’s Word says is sinful! Christian churches are now accepting lifestyles that God calls sinful, as being not only okay, but a lifestyle that people can be proud of living.
Maybe more importantly many Christian churches do not believe that many events defined in God’s Word really happened. Following this commentary will present some of these events, which Jesus affirmed when He walked this earth as the Son of Man.
Sometime around the seventeen hundreds the theory of evolution was postulated by atheists, which presented the idea that in the prehistoric period there was a big bang that caused everything we see to become into existence from nothing! Thus, no God or gods were required to create everything it just came about for no reason, and there was no design by a designer involved. The prehistoric period was the time before man started to record history, about six thousand years ago.
Many churches have applied the evolutionary theory to their Bible accounts, which then cannot allow for some recorded Biblical accounts of creation events. This belief system must disregard many events recorded in our Bible, as they do not fit in the evolutionary believer’s guesses! Since evolutionary theory is estimated without any previous written accounts, it is purely conjecture unlike the creation account as these are based on written accounts recorded in our Bible.

We still don't know the exact conditions under which this happened, and whether there was a time before time. But using telescope observations and models of particle physics, researchers have been able to piece together a rough timeline of major events in the cosmos's life.

According to our Bible, God/Jesus created the universe as the place where mankind would live about six thousand and twenty-eight years ago. Everything needed for mankind to live was created in six days, and then the final special creation of mankind was completed on day six. Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." (Genesis 1:26).
This is the written account of God creating the first human being a male we call Adam! The LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. Then God created the first female human being we call Eve. So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field. But for Adam no suitable helper was found. So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman’, for she was taken out of man." For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. Genesis 2:7 and 20-22
The Biblical account of the creation of mankind is the whole reason God created the universe! This is so important that more detail is important here and more information needs to be added. God created mankind fully mature and capable of reproduction from the beginning. God also immediately instituted the marriage requirement, as it says,” For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.”
Jesus referred to this lifetime marriage commitment when He walked this earth as the Son of Man. Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?" "Haven’t you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’, and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate." "Why then," they asked, "did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?" Jesus replied, "Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. (Matthew 19:3-8).
Next week the commentary will pick up at this point and report other Old Testament facts that Jesus believed that many Christian churches now have replaced with evolutionary “just so” stories.
