The End Is Actually The Beginning For Followers Of Jesus Christ, As Heaven Awaits At The End!
John 15:5 (NIV)
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
Every baby born into this cursed world has two essential parts one part is immortal the other part in mortal. Both parts come from God one is a blessing the other is a curse because of sin. These parts see this world in two different ways. Our soul imagines living forever with Jesus Christ and ending up in heaven with Him! Our sinful nature causes us to live in fear of death for when you die, it will lead your immortal soul away from heaven and puts it on a path that leads to hell, which is separation forever from the presence of Jesus Christ!
God gave mankind the law and commandments to His chosen people through an agreement with Abraham but this law and encouragement with prophets did not accomplish what was planned by God. Paul wrote about why God then sent His Son into this world. For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit. (Romans 8:3-4).
When Jesus Christ left this world and returned to heaven to be with the Father, He left the Holy Spirit behind. So that when someone chooses to become a follower of Jesus Christ, they receive this Holy Spirit to indwell them to assist them to live a sinless life even in this cursed world. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Salvation causes you to transfer the ownership of your soul from you to now be a shared living ownership with entry on that narrow path that will lead it to heaven! You have been born again!
When God’s Holy Spirit enters you, it gives you a much-improved ability to avoid the sinful enticements this world offers and gives you the upper hand to control your sinful nature. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10). Not only can we be more apt to avoid our earthly temptations, but it increases our desire to share how having Jesus in our life has improved our life!
There are many worldly religions in this world, but there is only one that is maintained by Jesus Christ! Salvation is found in no-one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12). All other religions offered in this world are limited to this temporary world and are thus maintained by earthly beings that God has cast down to this earth. Isaiah wrote what God divulged to him about Satan who was cast down to the earth with other angels who then become known as demons or devils. How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! (Isaiah 14:12).
With all the turmoil in this world, remember as followers of Jesus Christ you are or should be thinking more in terms of eternity and thus not totally rapt into the worldly confusion. We can pray directly to the God of heaven through His Son our Lord Jesus Christ. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7).
Jesus warned us about being deceived by imposters coming into this world who say God has sent them, when in fact they are misleading people instead of leading them. They lead religions that will end when the new earth is created by Jesus Christ when the time is right! Jesus said, “For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.” (Matthew 14:5-6). The End is actually the beginning for followers of Jesus Christ, as heaven awaits at The End!
Let us end this commentary with God’s promise of grace and peace which is going to rescue us from this cursed world. Hang in there awaiting entry assignment of the room Jesus will prepare for you when your time to leave this temporary wonderful place Jesus Christ created for you is ready! Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (Galatians 1:3-5).
