Being Born Again Re-Sets Your Soul So That Now You Are Destined For Admittance Into Heaven!
James 5:19-20 (NIV)
My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.
The most difficult task of a Christian is to witness to an assumed non-believer, to offer them salvation through developing a belief in Jesus Christ! Some places in this world it is illegal for you to witness, and in some cases, you will end up in jail, or be executed by the ruling government. In most cases it is still not dangerous to offer Jesus to someone in the USA today. It is likely that that may change soon in the USA! Remember, there is a good side to being killed for professing your faith in Jesus Christ, and that is your immortal soul will immediately be headed for the Paradise of Jesus, where you will meet face-to-face with Him!
In the selected verses, James relates to saving someone who has fallen away from the faith, by being distracted by worldly ideas, such as believing in evolution! But whether you are bringing someone back to Jesus or introducing someone to Jesus the statement, “Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.” Salvation through Jesus Christ always causes the blood shed by Jesus for your sins to, “cover over a multitude of (your) sins.”
Obtaining salvation through coming to believe that Jesus Christ is who He says He is automatic and is easy! Paul wrote about this for us and the church in Rome. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. (Romans 10:9-10). Jesus Christ is now entrenched in your heart because He knows you, because you believe.
There are many people who do not want to hear about Jesus because they have been convinced that the Bible is just another book written by men and thus the stories of Jesus are just that stories. For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18). Just imagine, if you could convince such a person by your witness about how having Jesus in your life has improved it! It would immediately direct them from the path that will lead them to hell and puts their immortal soul on the path that leads to the Paradise of God! Immediately, their perspective on life would change by making them want to work on becoming more like Jesus every day.
Paul wrote about the problem of believing in Jesus and being wrong about Him being raised from the dead that would cause non-believers to pity us. However, Paul then assures us that Jesus did in fact rise from the dead, which is attested to by those who saw Him after He arose! If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men. But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. (1 Corinthians 15:19-22).
Jesus tried to teach Nicodemus, and us, about how we must be born again before we can become destined to go to heaven when we die in this mortal lifetime. Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no-one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit." "How can this be?" Nicodemus asked. "You are Israel’s teacher," said Jesus, "and do you not understand these things? I tell you the truth, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony. I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? No-one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man. (John 3:5-13).
Every human being is born into this cursed world with an immortal piece we call our soul, and a mortal body that will die in this mortal world, and this body will remain on this earth, but our immortal soul will leave this earth immediately when we die, and it will ascend to the paradise of God, and it will end up on the new earth, aka heaven!
What are your long-term travel plans? If you choose to follow Jesus Christ you will be born again, and immediately you will gain some control of the sinful nature you inherited from the sin of Adam and Eve that brought death and suffering into the then perfect world, Jesus/God had created. So, immediately you will experience an improved outlook on life, as you know your born-again soul will end up in heaven and you will see Jesus, as He is!
More about his born-again enhancement for your soul as written by Peter. For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God. Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart. For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. (1 Peter 1:18-23).
Being born again re-sets your soul so that now you are destined for admittance into heaven! You still have the burden of your sinful nature, but now you have the promise of interacting with the Holy Spirit, which Jesus left behind on this earth to directly assist His chosen people. You are now included by Jesus in the people that are referred to as saints. Living in this cursed world just became more enjoyable, as you know the long-term destination of your immortal soul. Amen!
