Is Nothing Now Considered To Be Sinful?
Genesis 2:23-24 (NIV)
The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman’, for she was taken out of man." For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.
We read in God’s Word about the creation of Eve the first woman, and how special was the creation of this first female, who would allow mankind to be reproduced only through Eve and the women who would follow Eve. First God made all of the animals and Adam, the first of mankind, from the dust of the earth. However, then came the time for God to create Adam’s mate, and dust was not good enough for God to use to create Eve.
So (You) LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, (You) took one of the man’s ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Then (You) LORD God made a woman from the rib (You) had taken out of the man, and (You) brought her to the man. The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman’, for she was taken out of man." For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. (Genesis 2:21-24)
Therefore, we know that marriage was instituted by Jesus at the time of the creation of Eve, and thus, it is ordained that the sacrament of matrimony was established by God to be the connection of one man and one woman for life! In this holy connection the man and woman who have promised their fidelity for their lifetime, will then be viewed by you as one flesh, and they must not be separated by any member of mankind from this day forward!
So this reconnection of the woman back to the man completes this wonderful created lifecycle, and makes the marriage vows allow this Spiritual connection, which results in them being united, as though they are now one flesh, forever!
Yes, it is a new life, as they will take on a new consciousness, as if they are now one being. For we have read in God’s Word what Jesus said about marriage! Jesus asked, "Haven’t you read, that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’, and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate." (Matthew 19:4-6) Jesus professed what God had deemed as the method of procreation be completed as a sacred connection of a man (male) to a woman (female) for the express purpose of allowing mankind to be reproduced!
Jesus created this wonderful process and put into mankind the enticement or attraction to have sexual relations, and thus reproduce another member of mankind. In God’s Word we can read about the very first recording of a man and a women having sexual intercourse, and then it resulted in the birth of the first human baby ever to be born. Adam lay with his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said, "With the help of the LORD I have brought forth a man." (Genesis 4:1) The mechanism to allow this reproduction of a new member of mankind was why this process was created by God!
Having sexual relations with a member of the opposite sex for pleasure was given by God, so that mankind could reproduce, and become caretakers of the earth God created for His glory! If this process was painful or extremely difficult, then mankind would not have reproduced and been available to follow God’s command to take care of the earth He created for them. Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground." (Genesis 1:26-28)
Mankind has taken this blessing from God of having sexual relations for the purpose of reproduction of mankind, and cheapened it to just be a way of having pleasure as much as possible. Not for the purpose of reproduction, but just for having fun and enjoying the pleasure it brings. We have developed drugs for men and women to take so that we can have the most pleasure possible without the reproduction of a member of mankind being the result. To farther insure that no unwanted baby is produced, we made it legal to murder any human being produced from this fun thing to do. So in 1963 we made abortion legal in the USA. Abortion has been legalized in many other countries around this world too. God created this world for His glory. Does God approve of abortion? Does Jesus believe abortion is okay?
Mankind could not appease this sexual appetite enough by just having sex with the available opposite sex, so we started having sex relation, just to appease our sexual appetite with anyone who would allow it, whether the opposite sex or the same sex. That still wasn’t enough, so we had sexual relations with animals. Such sexual escapades have been going on for many years; we can read about it in God’s Word. God once sent His angels to Sodom and Gomorrah to see how bad their sexual appetites had caused them to stray form God’s plan. Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. They called to Lot, "Where are the men (angels) who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them." (Genesis 19:4-5) The rest of this story is that, God destroyed these cities because of their sins.
Today in our beloved USA we may be facing the wrath of a Holy, Holy, Holy God. Has our sexual pleasure requirements caused us to be looked at by God as exceeding what He will allow to flourish? As we soon will celebrate our independence as a nation, it makes me wonder what we have freed ourselves from. Is it a freedom from taxation without representation, or is it freedom from following God commands? Is nothing now considered to be sinful?
