We Are All Given Life Through Our Immortal Soul, Which Allows Us To Be Born Into This World!
Colossians 1:13-14 (NIV)
For he (God) has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Do you feel like you have been “rescued us from the dominion of darkness?” If you have come to believe that Jesus Christ came into this cursed world to offer salvation to everyone who would claim their salvation through believing that Jesus Christ is the Creator, Sustainer and Savior of the world, then your immortal soul will end up in heaven! Some reading this will not agree with this statement, because they believe you must do some specific sacramental obligations to complete your salvation. Now this commentary may be getting controversial! These obligations are the main theological differences that have caused different denominations to be formed. Remember the Bible tells us what God said, but theologians like to tell us what God meant!
Remember too that all members of mankind have an immortal soul and a sinful nature, and everyone must battle with trying to live in this cursed world by making all decisions based on what our immortal soul would tell us, BUT the sinful nature does not cease to exist as long as we are alive and living in this cursed world. Satin is also allowed by God to tempt our sinful nature, and Satan tries to have it control us in this cursed world. Even those who have been saved by being born again still have an active sinful nature! We all need to be aware of this constant battle in which our nature is in control when we may be pressed to decide what our action or reaction will be when stressed or tested!
Now back to what Paul teaches us about Jesus being the complete fulfillment of God the Father’s plan of salvation through the perfect sacrifice of the Savior of mankind and the replacement of Adam by the Son of Man. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him (Jesus) all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. (Colossians 1:15-17). For Jesus was born into this cursed world as a human being who did not inherit a sinful nature, as Jesus had no earthly father to pass on a sinful nature. Remember when God/Jesus created Adam he did not come with a sinful nature, he only had an immortal soul!
Some of the writing in our Bibles seem to indicate a simple requirement for attaining salvation if you limit your verse selection or emphasis! But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:8-9). This verse as an example, seems to indicate the ONLY requirement for salvation is believing that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior! Do you read it that way?
Of course, we cannot limit ourselves to pick just one verse to base our faith on, but we must be careful when your basis of belief is keyed in on one major theologian’s interpretation of Scripture. Remember, most denominations were formed based strongly leaning toward one theologian’s understanding of Scripture. Remember all human beings have a sinful nature, even the most well-meaning theologian. Non-denominational churches are formed when two or more people agree on a salvation plan mostly devised by one human being, who may also be the starting pastor of that new church. Face the facts, ALL churches on this earth of being run day-to-day by some theologian’s basic ideas of what God meant in Scripture!
God has given us all a free will and I believe He honors our beliefs and allows us to follow a path that we construct for our life. However, no human being knows everything, and we all need guidance in this cursed world. Jesus knew this, that is way He left the Holy Spirit behind in this cursed world to give Jesus’ followers the needed guidance. Now the beauty of having earthy churches that have adopted different versions of beliefs, which allows you to pick a church that professes and believes that most appeal to your belief system. If you do not attend an earthly church of your choice on a regular basis then you become your one-person denomination, you are its only theologian!
Salvation is an individual accomplishment, as you must claim belief in Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior, BUT this acceptance of Salvation enters you into the Body of Christ church and makes you become a child of God. Salvation does not separate you from life in this cursed world nor separate you from other believers it makes you a member of the same family. Your salvation protects your immortal soul from ending up in hell when you die. Did you get that? You can know you are going to heaven when you die, and your immortal soul leaves this cursed world. Your salvation and the price to enter heaven were paid by Jesus Christ through His perfect sacrifice. God the Father now sees you to be like Jesus, as though you are sinless!
This knowledge of your acceptance by God as being ready for entry into heaven also allows you to be connected to God and able to talk to Him directly through Holy Spirit guided prayer. This should bring you a peaceful feeling. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7). You should be happy in Jesus, and as Paul teaches. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). Be happy in Jesus just trust and obey!
The psalmist tells us about how each of us is created and given life in our mother’s womb! For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. (Psalm 139:13-14). We must believe that we are all given life through our immortal soul, which allows us to be born into this world! Solomon wrote about this and how many people may not believe this fact. As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things. (Ecclesiastes 11:5)
Many people in this cursed world today do not believe that all human life is started by God through creation of each immortal soul in the womb of a human woman. That is why many people are willing to dispose of unwanted human embryos through the process called abortion! This to me is murdering a human being that was given life by God!
