Being Born Again Puts Your Immortal Soul On The Narrow Path That Leads To Heaven!
Mark 9:35 (NIV)
Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all."
Jesus would certainly be booed for saying such a thing at a meeting intended to call people in the USA to join His church! A rich pastor named Joel tells people to join his church so they will become rich as a blessing from God! When you attend a church of your choice do they teach you to become humble enough so that you will obey what Jesus said, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all." Are you seeking to learn to become a servant to everyone? Today in the USA there is a dangerous trend that is growing amazingly fast. This trend is to not have any feelings of respect for other people or their property.
In Cincinnati, Ohio it has become popular for a group of teenagers to roam the streets, and to find someone walking and then the group attacks the person and punches and kicks them after knocking them down. Apparently, this is just considered a fun thing to do! Another fun thing is to drive by and shoot people who happen to be close to the street. There are incidents where a group of people attack a store and break the display cases, and then they grab all the loot they can carry and run away with it. There are people driving high powered vehicles who block off an intersection of busy streets, and then they race around this intersection doing donuts and burning rubber until the police come to break up this event.
It makes me wonder how such ignorance could possess people to believe they have some right to do such asinine things basically as forms of entertainment for them, or a means of obtaining goods that belong to someone else and they seem to feel good about what they can get away with! Amazingly the court systems seem to treat such behavior by slapping the hand, so to speak, as those caught are just scolded by the judge and then released back into their society! It has now become dangerous just to walk down a street in this city, and of course, we hear about the similar kind of behavior in other cities and towns.
When Jesus still walked this earth as the Son of Man, he professed to be the Savior of this world to the woman at the well. Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshippers must worship in spirit and in truth." The woman said, "I know that Messiah" (called Christ) "is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us." Then Jesus declared, "I who speak to you am he." (John 4:23-26). Jesus Christ said to her that He is the promised “Messiah (called Christ)!" Then Jesus gave her some evidence by telling her the history of her marriage and her sexual activity outside of marriage.
Jesus came into this mortal world to offer a gift of salvation to mankind since we are incapable of being Holy, Holy, Holy as God is, thus allowing us to go to heaven and live there with God the Father. Because of the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ, God will forgive us all our sins thus allowing us to be able to someday go to heaven and be in the presences of God.
The world Jesus was born into did not exercise much forgiveness as most of the people were living under laws that mankind had created. Only God’s chosen people were trying to live under laws given by God, however, even they had made up a vast number of man-made restrictions that was limited to protect only the elitist of believers. Jesus tried to change that by injecting love for your fellow man into their hearts. Jesus once said, "You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” (Matthew 5:43-45). Jesus was trying to change the thoughts on mankind to always think lovingly about other people, even to those who may have chosen to hate you!
If all of mankind would have identified who Jesus was and thus, they would all have become Christians, and would have agreed on the salvation plan!? No wait! The Christian denominations do not currently agree on the salvation plan. That is why Jesus knew His coming into this world would not result in a peaceful atmosphere. That is why Jesus once said, "Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven. "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn "‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’ "Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.” (Matthew 10:32-38).
In this cursed world there will never be peace because every member of mankind is cursed by being influenced by their inherited sinful nature. Plus, Satan and his demons have possessed the minds of mankind resulting in people following many gods either by them being demon possessed, and/or by becoming followers of the man-made worldly religions.
This sinful nature has even caused mankind to form many different belief systems for professing followers of Jesus Christ! However, it is still true that if you truly believe that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior, and profess to follow Him you will be born again, which will help you to have control of your sinful nature in this lifetime, and help you avoid sinning making your life much more enjoyable. Most importantly, being born again puts your immortal soul on the narrow path that will lead to heaven when you die in this mortal world! Amen!
