When We Believe In Jesus, Miracles Are Possible!
Hebrews 9:24 (NIV)
For Christ did not enter a man-made sanctuary that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence.
Christ entered into heaven itself, “now to appear for us in God’s presence.” Do you really believe that this statement written by the writer of Hebrews is true? If you believe the Word of God is truth, then of course, you believe this statement is true. However, many people who attend a church of their choice do not really believe all of the Bible is true and can be trusted. Are you sure you do believe the Word of God is always true?
Paul seemed to be writing such questions to the people of the church in Rome about their faith, or lack thereof. What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all! Let God be true, and every man a liar. As it is written: "So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge." But if our unrighteousness brings out God’s righteousness more clearly, what shall we say? That God is unjust in bringing his wrath on us? (I am using a human argument.) Certainly not! If that were so, how could God judge the world? (Romans 3:3-6) Therefore, even when some do not have faith, God still is faithful toward them, as Paul wrote, “What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all!”
Note what Paul next wrote puts us in a correct predicament of our inability of always telling the truth. “Let God be true, and every man a liar.” Every man is a liar! Certainly this statement Paul wrote is true! Have you ever told a lie? I have seen recorded interviews of people who claimed to be Christians, and who openly admitted to telling lies on a regular basis. In these same interviews, admitted atheists also admitted to telling lies! The only difference should be that if you claim to be a Christian, then you should also know that all lies offend Jesus. The “true” atheist is then NO different than a supposedly true Christian! Followers of Jesus are supposed to be working on becoming more Christ-like not more atheist-like!
No one can be a “true” atheist unless they know there is no God; otherwise they really are only an agnostic! So are you a “true” follower of Jesus Christ or are you also just an agnostic? This is a tough question, but one each of us who claim to follow Jesus Christ, MUST answer else we are not really following Jesus Christ! If you are not sure about your answer you really need to pray for guidance from the Holy Spirit, as you may be on a path that leads to hell! Jesus told Mary Magdalene and us, about what He had just done for us, and how His actions had prepared a path for us to heaven not hell. Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’" (John 20:17)
Please grasp what Jesus said here to His followers, that He was soon returning to His Father, and Jesus said, “I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God." It could not be any plainer than what Jesus has said here, and that there is no one else who can be followed into heaven as Jesus put it to “my Father and your Father, to my God and your God." Read what Paul wrote to the church in Corinth about what Jesus had made known to Paul. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:3) Paul wrote “that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures.” Paul is here pointing us to the Scriptures as support for Jesus really being the one and only Christ!
John wrote what Jesus said about himself, and that He is the only acceptable sacrifice for the sins committed by mankind. I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins." "Who are you?" they asked. "Just what I have been claiming all along," Jesus replied. (John 8:24-25) Jesus leaves no doubt here about the fact that He is the only way to heaven. As Jesus said, “I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins." How do your truthfully answer the question Jesus posed here? "Who are you?" they asked." Who do you believe Jesus is?
Remember Jesus came into this world, because of the love of His Father, who is also our Father in heaven. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. (John 3:16-19)
Jesus came to save the world not to condemn it! When Jesus lived among us He always showed love, as a great example of how His followers should always be. Loving even those who do not love us back! God offered correction to the Israelites as guidance not torment. Job, who was allowed to be tormented by Satan, did not ever give in and blame God for his problems. Job wrote about being blessed by God’s correction. "Blessed is the man whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty. (Job 5:17) Here was a man who could have blamed God, but chose instead to praise Him. Can you do that too?
Jesus offers all of His followers freedom. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (2 Corinthians 3:17 (NLT)) The freedom offered is the guarantee of salvation and eternal life with Him, who died for your sins. Don’t worry be happy in Jesus! Your salvation has been secured!
When we believe in Jesus, miracles are possible! The first obvious miracle is that a liar like you (us) is guaranteed to go to heaven, because of what Jesus did for you! He was/is the only perfect sacrifice needed to guarantee us all a place in heaven. The only thing you MUST do is accept the fact of who He is! Make Him your LORD and Savior! Then work on being more like Him today!
