Your Faith In God’s Love Must Motivate You To Ask Him For His Healing Touch!
Romans 10:8-10 (NIV)
But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
Have you confessed your sinfulness to the Lord with the expectation that your sins have been forgiven? As members of mankind, we find it difficult to forgive and forget, when someone has wronged us in some way. However, Jesus died for your sins, and thus He supplied full redemption for your sins, IF you believe His death and resurrection has supplied all that is needed for God the Father to forgive and forget your sins. As the selected verses state, “if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Jesus walked this earth as the God/man and followed all the requirements to be the perfect sacrifice required by God, so that anyone who believes and claims that earned salvation, will be saved! Jesus told His disciples (us) that He was going back to be with God the Father, and He was going to return sometime, and we should be looking forward to His return to be with us. "You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe. I will not speak with you much longer, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold on me, but the world must learn that I love the Father and that I do exactly what my Father has commanded me. (John 14:28-31 a). Of course, we are looking forward to being with God on the new earth, AKA as heaven, and we will be there with God/Jesus forever.
Paul wrote about this transition from being a sinner whose soul is destined to go to hell, when we die, to having our soul redirected from going to hell to going to heaven, because we have accepted our salvation through the “Grace of God.” As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. (Ephesians 2:1-2). Therefore, we were dead because of our “transgressions and sins, but then, we were born again, and now we are living through Jesus Christ. We died to this world and became alive again, but now we live with Christ indwelling our heart!
The writer of Hebrews wrote about how Jesus coming into this cursed world and taking on flesh and blood then supplied and example of perfection that could be accomplished by a member of mankind, while living in this cursed world. Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil—and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. (Hebrews 2:14-15). Jesus sinless life does give us the idea that we too can live a sinless life in this world, but it is all but impossible for members of mankind to accomplish this, as we have inherited a sinful nature from that first sin committed by Adam in the then perfect world. Jesus like Adam before he sinned did not have a sinful nature.
Since Jesus did not have an earthly father, He did not inherit a sinful nature, as Adam was never His father. This sinful nature is passed on through the male members of mankind, so we all are inline to inherit it. This, of course, applies to both males and females, who are born into this cursed world. However, when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we acquire the ability to somewhat control this sinful nature within us. Paul wrote to the church in Rome, and for us, about once we have accepted Jesus Christ, we then become children of God. Now for the good news, well it is Great News, that God loves all His children, and therefore, we can never again be separated from His Love for us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39).
Did you get that for sure? As Paul states it, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Not even Satan, the head of the demons on this earth, can separate us from God’s LOVE! Now that is a promise of God you must take to heart and be happy! It literally tells us we are protected from Satan and the other demons, once we have by faith accepted being born again in this cursed world. Now that is something to take to the bank, well that great bank in heaven that someday you will be rewarded through.
When Jesus healed people on this earth, He often said something like, “Your faith has healed you!” It was as though Jesus only healed those who believed He could do it! Keep that in mind when you pray for healing for yourself or someone else! You must believe that God will do as you request, but only if you believe He can, and that He is willing to do it. The writer of Hebrews about this mode of praying with confidence because of your faith in Jesus. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6). Praying for God to do something for us or others will on be responded to by God if we believe He wants to do what we are asking for, because “without faith it is impossible to please God!”
Your faith in God’s love must motivate you to ask Him for His healing touch!
