Before Or After The Rapture You Will Be With Jesus Forever!
Philippians 1:6 (NIV)
Paul wrote, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
What a great message for all of us who claim to be followers of Jesus Christ, Paul wrote, “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.” Is Jesus working with you to complete what started, when you accepted Him as your Lord and Savior? This is how this written comment from Paul may be taken. What do you think this means to you and your salvation? We certainly agree that Jesus perfect sacrifice guarantees all those who chose to accept it, will gain their eternal salvation. Please try your best to understand and accept this wonderful gift that Jesus died to attain for you!
A Psalmist wrote about God’s love and how this love, just like God, will endure forever. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures for ever. Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures for ever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords: His love endures for ever. (Psalm 136:1-3) And when the time was right, God sent His Son to die for all those who could accept this great gift. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
Do you give thanks to this wonderful eternal God defined by the Bible, every day? When you woke up this morning, and you found yourself still breathing, and your heart was still beating, did you give thanks to God for sustaining this marvelous, cursed, world in which we live and breathe? Today, when you complain about something you believe you should have, remember to breathe, oh wait you do not have to remember to breathe, because God created you just as you are, and breathing and your heart beating, is ALL maintained by God.
When God decides your breathing will stop, and your heart will stop beating, then you will die. This will not happen until God decides it should happen! True, in our advanced world today, sometimes you can be resuscitated from a near-death experience, as modern medicine has some amazing abilities. However, this will only work, if it is God’s will! Do you believe that? As long as your spirit is present in your body, you are alive; it is when this Spirit leaves your body that you then leave this lifetime. That is a huge difference between mankind and animals. When an animal dies that is the end of it! When a member of the mankind dies in this world, their Spirit does not die, as it is immortal!
James wrote about this for us. As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. (James 2:26) Here James is expounding upon this amazing fact that mankind was created with an immortal soul. James is likening this miraculous human mortality of the body to a faith that also never ends, and how this faith, if real, should propel believers to do good deeds. Do you feel compelled by your salvation to do good deeds? Does this same living faith compel or propel you to want to be with other believers in worship services at the church of your choice? If it doesn’t make you desire to be with other likeminded believers, then maybe you should pray about it!
God devised a plan of salvation, immediately after Adam committed that first or original sin. This plan required the shedding of blood to cover over the stain of sin. As in the days before Jesus came as that perfect lamb to be sacrificed for all the sins of mankind, many lambs were sacrificed to atone for the sins committed by the Jewish people, who were chosen by God! Finally when Jesus came into this world to be sacrificed as that perfect lamb there was established total forgiveness for all of mankind. No man deserved this wonderful plan devised by God; it was done completely through grace. Paul wrote about this gift, when he wrote, Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift! (2 Corinthians 9:15) Here Paul is thanking God for sending Jesus into this world to become that perfect sacrifice.
Have you thanked God today for giving you your undeserved salvation? Every member of mankind is born with an immortal soul, and also with a sinful nature passed on to you from Adam and Eve. When you commit your very first sin, your immortal soul is destined to spend eternity in HELL! There is no way you can do anything to save your immortal soul, once your sinful nature has directed you to commit that first sin! Did you get that, there is nothing you can do to avoid going to hell for all eternity! There is only ONE way for your soul not to spend eternity in hell. Jesus told Thomas, one of His disciples, about this plan when Thomas asked Jesus how he could follow Him, since he did not know where Jesus was going. Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me". (John 14:6)
There is another wonderful promise Jesus gave to all of His followers about heaven, and how Jesus is preparing a place for you in heaven. This is done immediately after you accept your salvation through Jesus. Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. (John 14:1-3) Jesus Christ is preparing a place for you in heaven! Not only that, but Jesus is coming back for you to show you the way to where He is.
Paul wrote about the Rapture, and how the followers of Jesus who have already died, will come back with Jesus, who will then Rapture His followers still living on the earth, and take them back with Him (them). What a day that will be, and you will be there, if Jesus is your Lord and Savior! Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-14)
After the Rapture all those who have accepted Jesus as their personal Savior will be with Him by then and for evermore! Now that is something to be thankful for!
Your brother in life through Adam, your brother in eternity through Jesus,
