Whoever Wishes, Let Him Take The Free Gift Of The Water Of Life.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
The shortest distance from one place to another is a straight path! Walk on the straight and narrow path, which leads directly to the Paradise of God! The main goal of your mortal life is to die, so that your immortal life with Jesus can commence! We just celebrated the fact that Jesus Christ the Messiah was born into this mortal world for the purpose of suffering and dying, so that your sins can be forgiven, and you can leave this mortal earth, and join Jesus Christ in the Paradise of God! Of course, we all cling to this mortal lifetime, because it is also blessed or ordained by God. Jesus created the earth and then He created man to reside on it, but because Adam and Eve sinned, the earth became a mortal world. It is still the world Jesus created but it is no longer a world without end, as it was originally created. Therefore, Jesus Christ had to come into this world to allow immortality to still be available to mankind. In this mortal life we can choose to follow Jesus Christ or not, and that decision alone determines where our immortal life will be spent, either in heaven with Jesus Christ, or in hell with Satan! Please believe this and thus choose to follow Jesus!
Every member of mankind is created from this earth, and is meant to die on this earth, and our mortal bodies are to remain on this earth, and go back to being dust again, for just as Adam was created from dust, so were you created from dust too. The Psalmist wrote about this strange arrangement being controlled by God. If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. (Psalm 139:11-16). God decides when you will be born and when your mortal body will die. Remember, however, your immortal soul will never die, because this soul is created in the image and likeness of God!
David wrote for us about this idea of a mortal body but an immortal soul, and that mankind has no control over your immortal soul, God has reserved the right of protection of each immortal soul. Then my enemies will turn back when I call for help. By this I will know that God is for me. In God, whose word I praise, in the LORD, whose word I praise—in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? (Psalm 56:9-11). As David wrote, “What can man do to me?” Mankind can only destroy your mortal body, but they cannot destroy your immortal soul. God has retained control over every immortal soul and allows us to decide where that immortal soul will end up, when we leave this mortal life.
This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." (Luke 2:12). We start this Advent season with a look back at the birth of Jesus to start the New Testament writing which attempt to capture this miraculous sequence of events, which were foretold in the Old Testament about the coming of a Messiah into this world. Prophesies made in the past were fulfilled by Jesus coming into this world. Some people choose not to believe these Scriptures, because they believe men wrote them, and thus these writings may or may not be true and accurate. Peter wrote about how we can know the Scriptures are true and can be believed because these writings were revealed to the writers by God. Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:20-21). Please believe it, the Bible is the Word of God from the very first verse in Genesis to the last verse of Revelation!
Paul wrote about the wonderful accounts of Scripture about how Jesus Christ is the Creator and the sustainer of this universe. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fulness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. (Colossians 1:15-20). Without the miracle of birth, we would not be here in this mortal world, and without Jesus sustaining everything we could not exist on this earth or in this universe! So, Jesus Christ is both the Creator, and He is the Sustainer of everything both here on this earth and in heaven too!
Can you believe this wonderful story? Jesus Himself told us what is required for mankind to believe this story the Bible contains! When Jesus was teaching on this earth, His Apostles were turning the children away, so they did not bother Jesus. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." (Mark 10:14-15). So, what is required for mankind to accept the Bible as God’s Word? It is for us to be totally open to belief without any reservations. We must be “Childlike” and thus be open to a total acceptance of God’s Word as contained in the Scriptures, otherwise, we will take the copout of saying well men just wrote the Bible, and thus, it may not be accurate or complete!
Jesus closes out the Bible with the warning to heed the Scriptures, and He alludes to the completeness and accuracy of the Scriptures by warning us not to change anything prophesied in these Godly authorized writings! The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life. I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen. (Revelation 22:17-21). Believe it, Jesus did!
