When You Accepted Your Salvation Through Jesus Perfect Sacrifice You Were Born Again As A Child Of God!
1 John 3:19-20 (NIV)
This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.
Most people do not desire to hear or speak the truth in this world today. Most people try to ascertain some form of truth that supports their basic beliefs about this world. Instead of relying on the Bible to supply the historical truths, most people massage the accounts to better fit their ideas of what their truth would allow them to accept as opposed to what the truth should be. Of course, this only includes the people who have ever read or studied the Bible. Most people try to completely ignore any reference to God’s Word, so that they do not have to feel guilty about ignoring what it may teach.
Many recent translations of the Bible are being done to supply a version that allows the reader to continue to lead the lifestyle they have chosen, so reading it better supports how they have decided to live their life with the sexual freedom they are already living out. So, instead of studying a good translation they read an old version as it can easily be adjusted to fit what they want it to say to allow them the freedom to continue their lifestyle that God has plainly condemned!
Christian churches are being pushed into changing the rules that have governed their denomination for many years to reflect an allowance of sexual activities that it previously disallowed. This is true of all churches whether it is part of a denomination or non-denominational. Many denominational churches are splitting, as the members disagree on what sexual perversions to now allow as being blessed by God. Same sex marriage has been one of the major disagreements to not only condone it as being acceptable by God, but to even allow such people to be teachers and leaders of the new denomination! Of course, the biggest difference is to allow abortions of unwanted babies produced because of sexual freedoms!
People who want to allow abortions for any reason, just the need to kill the baby that is unwanted, usually cite rape and incest as being a valid reason to allow all abortions. Remember, however, that there are already laws against rape and incest, so such pregnancies should not cause us to allow all other legal pregnancies because of having consensual sex! This idea could be a cause to allow the murder of already born humans for some reason as being okay! I believe all human beings are alive only because God has supplied an immortal soul to form in every viable fetus! What do you believe about how human life starts?
Abstinence of sexual activity is the only way to absolutely avoid a pregnancy from occurring. God has already given us this knowledge and told us not to have sexual intercourse outside of a marriage of one man to one woman for life. Most abortions are being sought because of sexual activity outside of this holy marriage covenant! Pro-choice advocates use the term contraceptive rights instead of using the accurate term of sexual activity rights to voice their support of allowing abortion of any unwanted baby that results from their sexual activities.
What is truth? This question was asked of Jesus when He was being interviewed by Pilate just before Jesus was crucified! Pilate first asked Jesus if He is a king. Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place.” “You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” “What is truth?” Pilate asked. With this he went out again to the Jews and said, “I find no basis for a charge against him. (John 18:36-38). The Bible is the only book that contains the absolute truth, as it was authorized by God, who directed members of mankind what to write and maintain in it!
Satan and his demons have successfully caused most of mankind to avoid believing that this Bible is in fact the Word of God. This even includes many people who profess to be Christians and/or followers of Jesus Christ! Jesus told those who truly try to be His followers how to live in this cursed world. Jesus has said, “The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. (John 12:25). Jesus also said, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).
True followers continue to become more Christ-like every day. John wrote about this. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. (1 John 4:17). Are you trying to avoid becoming enamored by wealth in this world? Paul wrote to Timothy and for us, “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.” (1Timothy 6:10). Then the writer of Hebrews wrote, “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5).
So, work on becoming more Christ-like in this new year. That would be a good resolution! Knowing you are worthy, as you were born into this cursed world alive with an immortal piece that is Christ-like and was formed in the fetus that formed by God’s command in your mother’s womb. You were fearfully and wonderfully made in the image and likeness of God/Jesus!
