Most People Seek A Family-Oriented Organization To Join!
1 Peter 4:11 (NIV)
If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
Most people seek a family-oriented organization to join! We have heard about young men joining a group referred to as a gang, because its members are known to belong to a criminal element. Often such a group is either the only group available or in some cases it may offer a feeling of belonging, which is what this parson is seeking. Most people seek out some type of a group that will accept them as a member, so they feel wanted or needed. Many people have elected to join a church as a group that will accept them as they are, but will offer them a felling of belonging.
Today, in this country more people are seeking recognition of their importance as a member of a group. However, many people in this country today do not want to join a group that will try to change them in any way. Because they believe they are okay just as they are! In part, because of social media people do not feel the need to belong, they often prefer to remain self-sufficient. Human beings are not created to be loners, and thus we all need to feel included in some actual group.
Many people today depend on social media to supply them with a picture of reality that excludes them from seeking a common cause, which is based on the truth that only Jesus Christ offers. All other life directions have been created by a member of mankind, which usually does not include any absolute truth. Many people today take pictures of themselves, and it inserts them into a temporary group they identify with in some likeminded temporary event. Belonging to a social media group does not offer a true belonging we all need to become believers in the truth of eternity.
Without the faith to believe in the fact of eternity and that you are included in an eternal destiny, you cannot become born again, which is the only requirement of belonging in a group that will never die! When you accept salvation through Jesus Christ you immediately die! The end! No, wait this is not the end it is the beginning of your immortal life, and it caused you to immediately die to the mortal life. Followers of Jesus will only die once when this mortal cursed life ends. Anyone who does not become a follower of Jesus Christ faces two upcoming deaths. They must first die the mortal life then they become separated from Jesus and heaven, and they immediately die the second death, and their immortal soul is bound for eternity in hell.
Worldly people do not comprehend the Biblical accounts, and thus, some of them are quick to criticize people who profess to being Christians. John wrote about some such criticisms. Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. (1 Peter 4:12-14). In counting your blessing, you should include any insults you get when proclaiming Jesus in the world.
You may suffer if you do not stray from that narrow path and join the crowds that are committing sins. If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. (1 Peter 4:15-16). If you choose to join in because, “everybody is doing it!” Then you may be excluded from some group, or someone may call you out as trying to be look good.
We are living in the last days, as that timeframe started with Jesus’ arrival on this earth. For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? And, "If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?" So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good. (1 Peter 4:17-19). Try to stay on that narrow path that Jesus put you on when you started trying to follow Him.
We have all read about how the Triune God came together at the baptism of Jesus while He still walked this earth. As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." (Matthew 3:16-17). So, here we read about the Father, Son and Holy Spirit all being connected as one!
Where will your immortal soul be when Jesus Christ steps into time to rule over heaven and earth? And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfilment--to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ. (Ephesians 1:9-10). All of those who chose to follow Jesus Christ will be with Him, and we will appear like Him. Too farfetched for you, well remember He created you in His Image and His likeness before you were born into this cursed world!
Have you chosen a church of your choice as a great place to become part of the family of God? There is no other earthly place that offers you lodging in heaven someday, which Jesus Christ prepared for you in advance of your worldly death! Most people seek a family-oriented organization to join! If you want to follow the crowd, attending a church regularly that offers fellowship with other people who belong to the Jesus Christ fan club! Not a bad place to be every time you need to feel included in the family of God.
Your brother in life through Adam, your brother in eternity through Jesus,
