Love Does No Harm To Its Neighbor. Therefore Love Is The Fulfillment Of The Law.
1 Timothy 2:1-2 (NIV)
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
There has not been a time of peace on this earth since sin came into it and brought on the idea of murder. When one human being does not love another human is the start of hate replacing the love God tried to instill into us. When there were only three men living on this earth, one of them killed his brother. Murder is not new, but now we have tumbled to a lower form of murder, when we cannot even wait for a human being to be born before we want to kill him or her! Sex was given to mankind so we could fill the earth God created for us, it was the first command God gave to mankind. Today, most sexual activity is performed for the enjoyment of at least one of the participants.
Does human life have a value and purpose? Human life starts with the fertilization of the egg contained in the female and is fertilized by the male human who participates in this holy act. The result of this act usually results in the birth of a human being. None of these human beings are perfect, but each of them contains an immortal piece that allows them to have life. Because of sin this world has been cursed by God, so that each human being also develops a mortal piece we call our body. When we die the mortal body dies, but the immortal piece does not die, it leaves the body and goes to either heaven or hell. Heaven is a wonderful place where there is no suffering or death, but hell is a place of torment and suffering.
God supplied only one Way for your immortal soul to go to heaven when you die! That Way is accomplished only if you believe the salvation plan God offered. One God, one plan, that makes sense to me! What do you believe? God’s Bible describes this plan, and it emphasizes that this is the only Way honored by God for allowing entry into heaven when we die. Jesus made it clear that His life, death, and resurrection supplied that one Way. When Jesus was asked about this question, Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6).
In the selected verses Paul is teaching Timothy about how God views mankind and that we all need to pray for God’s guidance for all the people who are in leadership roles, so God will bless our world. We pray then “that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” Paul then is teaching that our prayers will please God. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:3-4). Do you believe that God wants all members of mankind to be saved and end up in heaven! For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men—the testimony given in its proper time. (1 Timothy 2:5-6).
Jesus Christ came to this cured world to allow mankind to be saved and end up in heaven! As He paid the price required by God, as the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men.
Paul wrote for us and the church in Ephesus about how Jesus died for you and set the narrow path that will lead you to heaven. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfilment--to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ. (Ephesians 1:7-10).
This world is an accumulation of sinful creatures over 8 billion of them are human beings, and the Bible tells us a third of the angels are residing here too, and most of us cannot see them. And God’s angels apparently come here, when God sends them. However, do not forget that Jesus created the universe for mankind to live in forever. Then that first man and woman did not obey the one command to not eat the forbidden fruit, and they could not resist! An angel convinced them that God did not really mean that if they ate it, they would surely die! This trick is what got some of the angels to become demons and end up being cast out of heaven and sent into this cursed world.
Let me try to end this commentary on a loving note and let us look forward to the new world Jesus has planned for those who love Him! Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellow-man has fulfilled the law. The commandments, "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: "Love your neighbor as yourself." Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfilment of the law. (Romans 13:8-10). A new world (AKA heaven) is planned, and Jesus already prepared a place for you there, if you have been born again! Your friend and brother Jesus is waiting for you there!
