You Should Attend, Or If Possible, Even Teach A Bible Study Class At The Church Of Your Choice.
Luke 18:7-8 (NIV)
And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?
It seems some people look at people who profess faith in the Bible’s accuracy and profess it to be inerrant to be weak in their knowledge. Many people have been taken in by the deceptions of this cursed world and they have come to believe that mankind knows more about this universe than God does. Such people try to base their knowledge of science as their basis of trying to understand this world we live on, and how and when it came into existence. Many such people do not take the Old Testament as being accurate and thus not truly relevant to their lives. Yet, when Jesus walked this earth as a member of mankind, He seemed to believe He created everything we see, and where we will live our lives.
In the selected verses we read what Jesus said about the justice of God for His people as they exist in this world. Please realize it requires a personal commitment for each of us to gain salvation, as we MUST claim the saving grace earned by Jesus’ perfect sacrifice to be saved. Once saved, then we can expect a reaction by God as it states, “I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly.” Therefore, as followers of Jesus Christ we can hope for quick action by God to help us get justice. However, we must remember God put mankind in charge of this world, and thus, also in charge of justice. Satan is still in control of many of the members of mankind, so justice is often directed with favor by leaders who may be controlled by Satan.
Now seems like a good time to bring this commentary back more to individual responsibilities and blessings. But first, what about that last line of the selected verses. Jesus asked us, “when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?" The Bible tells us Jesus is coming back, but where do we stand today? Jesus sees you every day, if you have become one of His disciples! Is the Holy Spirit ever allowed to reside in your heart? Do you and the Holy Spirit ever pray to God together? What is the main control in your life? Is it Jesus Christ or mankind? Are you spending all your time self-seeking answers to your life. In our self-centered world many people take selfie pictures with world renowned humans or surrounded by worldly possessions.
Jesus’ brother James wrote about gaining worldly wisdom, and where it comes from. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. (James 3:14-15). As Christians, we are told we must live in this cursed world but are not become a part of it. Our immortal soul has need of an eternal place to reside when we die in this mortal world.
When you were born again your soul immediately began to live in an eternal state, you do not have to wait until you die to be free to live now! The writer of Hebrews wrote about the possibility of being able to avoid sin once we were saved. Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no-one will see the Lord. See to it that no-one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. (Hebrews 12:14-15). You can be a part of the world living at peace, as much as it depends upon you! This world is cursed and overall evil, but it need not be evil because of you. You may be able to be a peace maker!
Paul wrote for us about how we can be forgiving of other people who may do wrong to you. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. (Ephesians 4:31-32). The key here is trying to remember that you are not perfect, because of your sinful nature you must live with in this cursed world. Thus, you may be able to forgive your brother or sister, because you were forgiven by God through Jesus perfect sacrifice.
Every person born into this world has a life plan that Jesus destined for you, but you possess a free will also granted by God, thus you can try to discover God’s plan or do your own thing. For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11). Having a free will and a sinful nature does not make a good mix, as worldly things try to pull us away from Jesus’ love. Satan of course pushes us toward the worldly attractions.
A good way to keep up your strength through Jesus is by attending a church of your choice regularly, and thus associating with your brothers and sisters in Christ. In this busy world it is easy to find something else to do on the Sabbath Day, like attending some sporting event, and thus skipping church. A lot of the youth sports programs are held on Sunday mornings and interfere with church attendance. The writer of Hebrews wrote about becoming lax in attending a worship service at a church of your choice. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:25). A bad habit is missing the opportunity to worship God!
