Is God Asking You To Tell The Good News? What Will Your Answer Be?
James 2:19 (NIV)
You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
Most of the people on this earth believe there is a god or gods, and some of them try to follow the rules of the god they have chosen to follow. If there is only one god, then you can only be saved from this cursed world by following this god. However, this makes all the people who are following their chosen god to go to hell, where their worldly god will go when he or she dies! Logically, there can only be one god that is the real God! In this life, you can choose to follow some form of a god that you believe is the real God. I believe the fulfilled prophesies given in the Bible proves that the only real God is this God of the Bible. What do you believe?
If you are really following the real God, then you will be allowed to leave this life and immediately proceed to heaven. Heaven is the real place that God is supplying for all those who chose to follow His Son into this wonderful place. It is the promised land for all who chose to follow the only true Savior of this world. This then, means that all those who are following another god, cannot go into heaven when they die to this life. Atheists do not believe there is any such thing as a god, so they too will proceed directly to hell when they die to this life.
Some people believe that this idea is too harsh that God has chosen to allow only those who choose correctly to follow His Son can go to heaven when they leave this life. Jesus Himself affirmed this when He walked this earth as the Savior of the world. Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6). So as James has written in the selected verse, “You believe that there is one God. Good!” Just believing there is one god or even if you think of is as the real God, just puts you into the company of devils, which are already scheduled to go to hell, when God decides the time is right!
Do not be confused there is a narrow path that leads to heaven, and only those who choose Jesus as their Lord and Savior will find that path and end up in heaven. Have you chosen that path? If you are still not sure yet, please pray for directions from Jesus, and He will offer to be with you always, even to the end of this earth. In this era of Political Correctness, we are told we must accept everyone as they are and leave them be, do not try to change their belief system, even if you believe they are living in sin, and/or destined to go to hell, when they die. We are told this is the loving thing to do. Are you sure you will go to heaven when you die? Do you believe Jesus is the only way to heaven?
Jesus put this choice in harsh terms when He walked this earth as the Son of Man. Jesus once said, He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me, scatters. (Luke 11:23). Do you see a PC choice in Jesus’ terminology here? Do you believe Jesus desires for His followers to ignore our neighbors, and allow them to go to hell, as PC teaches? He (Jesus) also said, "This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces corn—first the stalk, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come." (Mark 4:26-29). Jesus said, “A man scatters seed.” Will you be a sower of God’s Word?
Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. If you are willing to try to spread God Word, His seed, this seed may sprout in a member of mankind, who is destined for hell, and his immortal life may be spared, because you decided to follow Jesus. Paul wrote about doing everything in love! Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love. (1Corinthians 16:13-14). Paul wrote we should “do everything in love.” It seems more loving to try to help a neighbor to avoid hell, than to just let them go to hell for the sake of PC!
Are you working on being a true follower of Jesus Christ? Do you remember the stories about how Jesus selected His Apostles? Do you remember how difficult of a task this was for Jesus? What excuses have you offered Jesus for not being willing and able to follow Him? Of course, Jesus did not meet you on a beach somewhere when you were fishing, like He did some of them. However, they did not offer any excuses for not being able, right now, to follow Jesus! "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." At once they left their nets and followed him. (Matthew 4:19-20). Too easy! Maybe they were “Just do it!” kind of people.
From the Old Testament, we can read about ordinary people whom God confronted about His need for someone to tell His Word to other members of mankind, and that they even needed to relocate to a place He selected for them to live. In this instance, God tested a man to see if he could follow His commands, even though, the test was very difficult. Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, "Abraham!" "Here I am," he replied. Then God said, "Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about." (Genesis 22:1-2). God does not tempt---Satan tempts us---God tests! Are you heeding God’s testing, or are you heeding the temptations offered by Satan?
Has Jesus prompted you to be one of His disciples? If you’re like me, you have never actually heard Jesus speak to you. It certainly seems that anyone who professes to follow Jesus must be inclined to think/believe that we are expected/commanded to be willing and able to tell the Good News to everyone we come into contact with during our New Life. When God told Isaiah that He needed someone go tell the news, in this case not good news to His people, Isaiah came forward, and offered no excuses for why he could not, at this time do what God was needing him to do! Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" (Isaiah 6:8). God asked Isaiah “who will go for us?" Isaiah’s answer was, "Here am I. Send me!"
