Have You Claimed The Salvation ONLY Offered By Jesus Christ?
John 14:6 (NIV)
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me.
God created the universe as the place where mankind was to live for eternity, and thus, God/Jesus created the first two people with an immortal god-like piece we refer to as our soul. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground." God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day. (Genesis 1:27-28, 31).
Adam and Eve were living on the earth that God had created for mankind to live on, and this earth was heaven on the earth. If they had not sinned by disobeying the command God gave them, we would still be living on this heavenly place, and so would they still be here! Before sin entered this world people would have been naïve about any form of evil thinking! The man and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame. (Genesis 2:25).
Then Eve was tempted to disobey the command God gave them to not eat the fruit from this one tree in the Garden of Eden. When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized that they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. (Genesis 3:6-7). Thus, sin brought suffering and death into this world.
When they disobeyed God, they were changed, as they now had a sinful nature that entered their bodies. So, then they now could think both good and evil thoughts, and they were now mortal beings, facing death in this now cursed world! They were suddenly fearful of God! Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?" He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid." And he said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree from which I commanded you not to eat?" The man said, "The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it." (Genesis 3:8-12).
Now the blame game was also evilly enacted on all future members of mankind, as we see Adam blaming Eve for his inability to shoulder the blame for his sinful actions. Now all future births in this cursed world the man will pass on the sinful nature to the offspring, which also means all humans from this time forward must die in this now mortal world. This is why Jesus came into this world without a human father, so Jesus did not have a sinful nature. If He did, He could not have been able to be the perfect sacrifice allowing Him to be our suffering, Savior!
Very important to know all human beings did retain their god-like immortal soul, which will never die! Our immortal soul will end up in either heaven or hell when it leaves this cursed world. The so called second death refers to when an immortal soul is cast into hell, when a person dies after living in this cursed world. Remember God loved us and created a perfect world that was heaven on the earth! But disobeying God’s commands brought death and suffering into it.
Paul wrote about the fact that God did not abandon us after we sinned, and that Jesus still loves us, and that He left behind the Holy Spirit to guide us in this lifetime. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fulness of God. (Ephesians 3:16-19). God blessed mankind with a freewill, thus we must choose to observe God’s commands, which He gave us in our Bible. However, following laws since Jesus Christ came into this world, will not elevate your immortal soul into heaven, when you die!
John recorded for those who choose to follow Jesus what He promised to do for us! Jesus said, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going." Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?" Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:1-6). Have you claimed the salvation ONLY offered by Jesus Christ?
This commentary started out with a description of the earth/heaven God created for mankind to live on forever and living with Him. He was walking and talking with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Mankind’s sin ruined it, BUT God promised to restore it for all the immortal souls that have been saved through their faith in God’s promises! God is going to destroy this cursed earth, and then, create a new perfect earth.
John wrote what he heard from God in our Bible the book of Revelation, about this new earth. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21: 2-4).
This new Jerusalem contains the rooms Jesus created for you and all those who have chosen to become followers of Jesus Christ! Have you reserved your room yet, by believing and claiming Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? If you are still breathing it is not too late to claim your eternal room, just believe in Jesus Christ!
