What A Wonderful Freedom There Is Knowing That Your Immortal Soul Will Spend Eternity With Jesus Christ!
Matthew 13:43 (NIV) Part 2 of 2
Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
This parable indicates that the seed is not only God’s Word but also God’s children—those regenerated through the Word. He answered, "The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil. (Matthew 13:37-39). Thus, every member of mankind can become sowers of the Word, witnessing to the world and bearing good fruit in His name. However, every member of mankind can also be the sower of weeds, as we all have within us a sinful nature, which will try to direct us toward being servants of Satan. Every person has the choice through the free will that God/Jesus has blessed us with. Satan sits on your left shoulder and whispers evil thoughts into your ear, and your guardian angel sits on your right shoulder and whispers good thoughts into your ear. Whom will YOU choose to listen to during your mortal lifetime?
The Parable of the Weeds: (Matthew 13:24-30)
23 But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown." Jesus just finished telling them the parable of the “The Sower Of Good Seed”, then He next told them this parable.
24 Jesus told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. 26 When the wheat sprouted and formed ears, then the weeds also appeared. 27 “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’ 28 “‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. "The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ 29 “‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’"
(Matthew 13:24-30).
The Parable of the Weeds Explained: (Matthew 13:36-43).
36 Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, "Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field." 37 He answered, "The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man.
So, in this parable Jesus AKA “the Son of Man” is the one who created Adam and Eve thus sowing mankind into the field that is this earth, which He also created for mankind’s home. So, this includes all of mankind as the recipients of an immortal soul within their body, often referred to as the breath of life. 38 The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, 39a and the enemy who sows them is the devil. When Adam and Eve brought sin into the then perfect world that Jesus created for us, that brought suffering and mortal death into this world! Since Satan tempted them to sin, he was eventually cast down from heaven to this earth and brought with him other evil spirits, who continue to temp mankind to try to ignore and even disbelieve in God the Father.
So, now Jesus skips to “the end of the age” and He explains that at that time the evil people, those who have chosen not to follow Him, the weeds, will be separated from His followers, and cast into hell, thus being separated from Him for all eternity. Here we must go back to the parable to get Jesus to explain that His followers must not physically remove those who have chosen not to become followers of Jesus during their immortal lifetime. "The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ 29 “‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. Here Jesus is telling us we as followers of Jesus must not attempt to physically try to remove non-believers during this mortal lifetime on this cursed world. If we do this, there may become believers who will fall away from the faith, and thus end up going to hell when they die.
Jesus is teaching us live and let live during this life in this cursed by sin world. We should never do as the Crusaders once did by killing anyone who chooses not to be followers of Jesus Christ. We are to live in peace with all of mankind, however, we have been commanded to tell every member of mankind about Jesus Christ, so they too can be saved and thus go to heaven when they die! Jesus is the Way the only Way for members of mankind to end up in heaven. Jesus told us this while He still lived on this earth. Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6).
Now back to this parable and how Jesus sums up what will happen at “the end of the age.” Jesus then said, 39b The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. 40 “As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. 41 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. 42 They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Then Jesus tells us that after the sons of Satan have been cast into hell, those who have chosen to follow Him “will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father.” As a child of God, you will then live with Jesus in heaven forever. As Jesus told His disciple, now us too! 43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
Have you heard the truth? If you have the truth will set, you free! What a wonderful freedom there is knowing that your immortal soul will spend eternity with Jesus! What a friend we have in Jesus!
