Our Faith And Hope Is Placed In The Love Of Jesus, Who Is Our Brother And Our Lord And Savior!
Psalm 139:14-16 (NIV)
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
A big question being asked today, is when does human life begin? Those who favor allowing on-demand abortion, sometimes relate that the fetus is not human until some duration of time that it lives in the mother. Most of this thinking is based on a belief in evolution, and that said fetus goes through evolutionary stages, and thus, ‘may” not be a member of mankind until this acceptable duration of time has passed. However, God’s Word states a very different timeframe, and God says, it is a member of mankind even before the physical act of fertilization of the egg. Yes, God says about this yet developed fetus, “When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Please remember that God spoke these Words to David who wrote this Psalm!
When Jesus still walked this earth and was teaching His disciples, Jesus said that all believers need to think as little children in order to accept His good news message, and thus when they leave this lifetime, they will go to heaven! All of us must accept as fact the message Jesus left with us that He is the Savior, and the only Savior. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. (John 3:18) This is an unforgivable sin – not believing in The Christ! This type of sin only applies to those people who live and then die without accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Unborn children of course do not hear the good news message, and thus, are headed to heaven immediately when they are aborted or are still-born!
Now back to what Jesus said about thinking in a childlike mode, not being childish, but being receptive to this good news message, as it is may be too simple for some people to accept. This is again where being childlike helps us to ignore a complicated way to obtain salvation such as working your way to salvation, or by praying at certain times each day to gain our salvation. People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." (Mark 10:13-15) Can you be childlike enough to accept the grace Jesus offers to grant your salvation by what Jesus did to pay off your debt, because there are no works that can be done to pay this price!
There is a great reward for choosing a church of your choice to attend, as your attendance there on a regular basis, will join you with like-minded people, with whom Jesus will bless your pleas to Him for the hurts in your life. “What a friend we have in Jesus.” "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." (Matthew 18:19-20) Having more than two or three who gather in His name is even better, and remember they are friends with Jesus too!
I believe that the Golden Rule is practiced more at a church than anywhere else you can find! If you attend a church regularly, do you agree with this idea? So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. (Matthew 7:12) Note what Jesus said here! “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you.” So in everything, certainly seems to cover all areas of your life! Why and how can we ever really love everyone? John wrote to tell us where this total love can come from. We love because he first loved us. (1John 4:19) Did you get that, really did you get the idea that we are really only channels of God’s love, being loving is not really a thing we can do on our own.
We live in a cursed world, and some of the things that happen do not seem to indicate that there is this loving God, but we must remember we live in a sin cursed world. Because of the sin of Adam, we are born with a sinful nature. However, Jesus came into this world and suffered, died, and rose again to supply the perfect sacrifice needed to allow God’s total forgiveness to all who hear the Word and accept this sacrifice. To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat of it,’ "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. (Genesis 3:17)
This perfect sacrifice also covers this sinful nature of those who were unborn, but their inception planned by God was cut short by natural causes, and such souls will be maintained by God in heaven. As it says in the selected verses, “All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Therefore, those souls that were created but never lived on this earth are included in Jesus’ book, or the “book of Life!” I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. (Revelation 20:12)
We have this great hope because of the Scriptures God has given to all those who believe. For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. (Romans 15:4) The writer of Hebrews also gives us the great faith and hope. Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (Hebrews 11:1) Faith is believing in what we do NOT see!
Our faith and hope is placed in the love of Jesus, who is our brother and our Lord and Savior! All salvation is only obtained through Him, who loved us first!
