The Only Way To Be Saved From Immortal Death Is Through Belief In Jesus Christ!
2Corinthians 4:4 (NIV)
The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
Is there really a devil who lives on this earth, and causes mankind to be confused about this earth, and what is really the most important way of living their lives? Many people do not believe there is a fallen angel who believers call Satan who roams this earth seeking to cause members of mankind to not be able to believe God’s Word. All worldly religions are patterned after a human being, and based on the ideas that person espoused, and usually backed up by some accumulation of ideas this person recorded while they lived on this earth. Only Christianity is based on the Word of God, which is also known as the Bible! Some of these religions are based on the Old Testament of the Bible, although their book is called by another name. Only Christianity is based on both the New and Old Testament books of the Bible. In this essence this commentary is classifying all non-Christian religions, as worldly religions, and is attributing the misdirection of all such religions is based on the idea that “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ!” The key component here is that the only way to be saved from immortal death is through belief in Jesus Christ! As I believe the Bible and only the Bible teaches!
When Jesus walked this earth as the God/man what did Jesus teach? Jesus said that He is the only way to God the Father and heaven to His disciples. Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?" Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:5-6). John also wrote that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16). Therefore, if Jesus is the only way to salvation, how can religions that do not believe in Jesus and take Him to be their Lord and Savior be able to take their followers to heaven when they die? The answer is they cannot!
Jesus Christ promises that those who trust in Him will be with him in Paradise following our death! In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. (John 14:2-3). The way I read this is that Jesus will come back and take me immediately to be with Him in Paradise when I die! How do you read it? What a wonderful promise this is from Jesus! Then those who have died before Jesus returns to rapture the believers before the Tribulation starts will return with Jesus to accompany those who are being taken up from the earth. Paul wrote about the Rapture to the Thessalonians and us! We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord’s own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord for ever. Therefore encourage each other with these words. (2Thessalonians 4:14-18). Are you ready to fly up to meet Jesus, if you are still alive at the time of the rapture, or you will be accompanying Him, as it states. You will come with Jesus, or join Him at the rapture, if you believe he is who he says he is! That is a trip to look forward to!
Paul wrote to Timothy, and us, about how God desires for all of mankind to be saved. I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. (1Timothy 2:1-4). First Paul is telling us to pray for those people who are in positions of power, and that is very important at this time as we just had an election, and there are now some new people in positions of power. Pray that they will somehow be positively affected to be more godly than may have been expected! As we are all sinners and thus, we must try to show love for them, even if we do not agree with their political views. Peter wrote about how love can cover over sin. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. (1Peter 4:8). Some of these people may need coverage for a multitude of sins, based on what their opponents have said about them. Please pray for all those people holding a position of power in our country, and around this world!
Then finally we have the prophesies in Revelation to look forward to! At the time of the Second Coming, Jesus will overturn the curse of death and suffering forever. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. (Revelation 21:4). Believers will be resurrected with glorious bodies that will never age, get sick, or die. And the world will be restored to what He always intended it to be, and we will reign with Him forever. What a wonderful story can be told about Jesus Christ coming into this world, with the purpose of making it possible for all of mankind to be saved and end up in heaven with Jesus. Remember, Jesus commanded us to tell His story. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20). Can you tell someone about Jesus?
