Please Believe The Scriptures, As This Is The Word Of God, And The Only Absolute Truth Available To Mankind!
Romans 1:16 (NIV)
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.
If Adam and Eve sinned and thereby brought death and suffering into the world (Garden of Eden), then how can you believe there were animals living and dying for millions of years before that happened? If Adam was not created as a man, if he evolved from an apelike creature, and Eve evolved from and apelike creature – then Jesus death on the cross was not needed – as death was not defeated by the shedding of a blood sacrifice. Jesus death on the cross did not defeat physical death! The rebellion in the Garden of Eden that brought death into the world made Jesus death on the cross necessary!
Paul wrote about the Last Adam or Jesus Christ, as being, this Last Adam in his letter to the church at Corinth. So it is written: "The first man Adam became a living being"; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven. (1 Corinthians 15:45-47) To read these verses in context, see 1 Corinthians 15:42-50. Why did Paul refer to Jesus Christ as the Last Adam? The major similarity is that neither Jesus nor Adam had an earthly father! Remember the encounter Mary had with the angel Gabriel, who announced to her the fact that she would become pregnant, and give birth to a son.
You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob for ever; his kingdom will never end." "How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?" The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. (Luke 1:31-35)
So Mary the mother of Jesus did not have intercourse with a human being before Jesus was born. In this way Jesus like Adam, Jesus did not have an earthly father. So what is the importance of this? You see this caused Jesus to be born without the stain of sin on His soul, as the curse was not passed on to Jesus from Adam! Therefore, Jesus like Adam, before Adam sinned, had no stain of sin and death implanted into his earthly soul. Every human being is born with that stain of sin and death etched into their immortal soul, which we refer to as our sinful nature, and it is passed on to them through their earthly father. Thus, Jesus was born without a sinful nature.
I remember puzzling over this situation, and thinking that Jesus had a clean soul, and thus, He could live on this earth and avoid sin easily, unlike other members of mankind, but then, I realized that Adam had this advantage too, but he still committed that first sin by breaking the one command given him by God. Commission of this first sin caused the Adam to gain knowledge and allow him to know the difference between good and evil. And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. (Genesis 3:22-24)
Notice what God is stating about Adam after he sinned in the verses above. “And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil.” Many people believe today that amassing knowledge is a sure fire way to avoid sin, but is it? The answer is based in holding to the truth from God, as opposed to the truth ascribed by mankind? I believe the only absolute truth can be found in God’s Word! God's Word and God's Word alone is the foundation on which our faith must be based and all that we believe flows from it.
It is IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to be in spiritual authority that does not believe the Bible to be God's inspired and inerrant Word, to represent Absolute Truth, and our final authority in all matters. IMPOSSIBLE! If a person does not hold the Bible to be God's Word, then they have denied the very faith they claim to hold and represent. When you deny the Bible is God's Word, it opens up the door for every kind of sin and perversion to enter into the church since it is now up to each person to determine what "truth" is.
The LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. (Genesis 2:7) It appears there is no allowance here for evolution to occur. To believe in the evolution of mankind you cannot believe this verse is true. So then why do so many Christians believe you can believe in evolution, and also believe in God’s Word? Paul described this very well to Timothy in the second letter he wrote to him. Paul was alluding to the present and the future here, I believe, as he tries to warn Timothy about such compromising of God’s Word, because Satan is using our sinful nature to confuse us and thus, cause separation within the faith. The body of Christ is separated by such a belief, which is not Biblical, but man-made!
Here is what Paul wrote to Timothy. In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. (2 Timothy 4:1-4)
Do you believe what Paul also wrote to Timothy? All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2Timothy 3:16-17) Please believe the Scriptures, as this is the Word of God, and the only absolute truth available to mankind!
